If you're looking to buy a label printer, this is a great steal. I can't vouch for it, as I just ordered it myself, but the discount was too steep not to give it a shot. I didn't need to have anything fancy because I just DIY for myself and a couple of friends, so this seemed like the way to go. Oh, and you can use the coupon code 89557014 to save an additional $10. The thing is with these labels is that there is no ink necessary. Toner/ink for PC printers is expensive, so this is a very cheap alternative.

I have the QL-700(no wireless like the 710) and can confirm it is an epic printer for basic eliquid label use. No more buying ink, the labels are automatically cut, they don't run when they get wet and they stick very well. + You can buy generic rolls of labels on ebay and save a boat load.

I was just there buying blank labels for my laser printer for my DIY juice bottles. Wish I would have seen this before I bought all those labels. Oh well, guess I'll stick with using the laser to print them for now.

You can fit about 4 lines of text at 7-8pt and still have it readable.

That's the one I have. I wouldn't recommend it unless you found it for like $10. The labels peel off very easily.

I use a Brothers label printer like that as well. Not the exact model, I think its their basic one. Its great.

You can design the label in a WYSIYG editor. It's not super powerful, but it gets the job done. You get all the basic features like Bold/Italic/Underline, Font, Font Size, some vertical and circular text support.

However, you cannot use any color. So you're going to have a white label with black text. Don't get me wrong they look nice, and depending on how much work you want to put in a label, you can get some nice looking professional ones if you can work with black/white.

Now about the labels themselves, they come in prepackaged rolls, and you can only use certain preset sizes that they come in. However, there are nice sizes for most 10ml+ bottles. Also, they are fairly waterproof, more so than just an printing on standary Avery labels from your printer. As an example. The bottle I store my PG in has a label just just says "USP Propylene Glycol". It has been through about 10 washings now and the label itself is tearing off, but the text is still on the label.

The other thing to mention is that the labels themselves can be fairly expensive compared to other labels (sheets).

Personally I still use it and love it. Printing the labels pre-cut and ready to go in singles is nice. However, I have started to design some more picture based labels for my juice so I am looking into something probably more expensive that can print color on some weather-resistant/waterproof labels.

Just got home with it but too tired to set it up now. I'd like to be able to do color too, but the only one I saw capable of that was way out of my price range. Have you tried any of the clear labels?

No I haven't personally tried any of the clear labels. I didn't even know they made it for them. Might have to check it out.

Yeah, color printing can get pretty expensive, just in ink alone, not to mention a good printers and the labels.

However, this thing does do a damn fine job of making nice looking legible labels that last, even if you are just doing plain text with the name, ratio, nicotine content, and a basic warning.

If you want to make it look even better, design a simple logo with Adobe Illustrator and import it onto the label. I am not artistic at all but I came up with a simple logo after a few youtube tutorials. Its not anything fancy, just minimalistic, but it really adds a lot to the labels.

I use the PT-D450 PC-Connectable Label Maker with TZE-251 label tape. The labels are .94 inches tall, black and white, stick on bottles being steeped in a crock pot, and easily come off plastic or glass bottles with no residue.

Thanks for the heads up on the sale, I just ordered one. I have been using Avery 5160 labels with my Brother laser printer but it is a PITA to go the other room, put the sheet in the manual feed tray, seeing which row and column has not been used yet, going back to the PC to print, and going back again.

Yeah I didn't want to have to worry about the sheets either. I don't currently have or have a need for an ink jet or laser printer so I thought this would fit the bill when I want to make a handful of labels. Hope it works out great for us both.

Have the exact same one, but I use it for shipping labels. For juice I just got a bunch printed on gloss adhesive paper and cut them myself. Pain in the ass to peel them off though.

can anyone explain on the no ink, ribbon or toner needed to replace? how does this work? so no ink at all to replace? after we buy the printer and some labels, so that's all?

It's a thermal printer so it uses a heated print head to "burn" the text onto the special paper.

Dammit. You got me. Sounded like too good of a deal to let go so I bought one. Tax and all it was just under $64. I must say I feel like I robbed the Depot after I got it home. If nothing in else I can use it to make address labels. As someone here mentioned using ebay or amazon to buy labels/tape and I'd agree with that. Office depot has one 100' roll for $25. You can get 4 rolls of 1.5" x 100' on amazon for just under $30 shipped. Thanks for the info.
