Anyone else experience poor processing time with Flavor West?
submitted over 10 years ago by EphramRafael

I placed an order early on the second and it just shipped today? What good is paying for expedited shipping if they're going to hold my package so long?

Did you order directly from the vendor?

Yes, directly from Flavor West.

They are usually pretty quick with me and my buddies orders. Three business days is the longest it's taken to ship. They supply major brand name companies so maybe they had a large order to fill and put your order aside for an extra day or two? Dont get too discouraged with then though, could be a fluke.

Mine came pretty quick, then they fucked up on postage; if I don't catch up with the mail man to pay $5.33 postage today I'll have to wait till Saturday. I need to still email them about the insufficient postage.

Bizarre, whenever I send out a package for work with insufficient postage, that shit gets returned to me. They don't do the work THEN ask the customer for the remainder. That seems backwards.

Then again, this only happened once when someone broke the scale.

This is the third or fourth time in a 2-3 years it's happened. I feel like they're holding it for ransom; send a damn bill back to the person who mailed it, most payments are digital today. They already have their information.

Right? If I got a package COD for delivery charges I'd send that shit back and demand a refund. We already worked out the transaction, I'm not paying you again for your blunder.

When I order product for my shop COD, if the amount on the bill doesn't match the COD exactly, I decline shipment and void the check instantly. You're not being a dick to the delivery service, they're just doing their job. Poor communication on the supplier's part is not your error or responsibility.

Two weeks for my PG. TWO. WEEKS.

Once it's in carrier-hands, I get it. There's not much they can do.

But if I pay for fucking expedited shipping, order only in-stock items, and don't hear from you on the matter, I expect you're not going to sit on the order for 96 hours.

We buy a lot of FW flavors and for a while if you ordered multiples and one was out of stock. They would hold the entire order...

They are not the worst just trust me....

No, not the worst. The worst was the bottles I ordered from an American company that will not be named, who neglected to tell their customers their products are drop-shipped from China. I never got those bottles. They swear they were sent, but I disputed the charge before it got so old the credit card company refused to reverse it.

They seemed quick enough to me, though I did not pay for expedited shipping.

I'm sure it's not an every-order kind of thing. They wouldn't be a preferred supplier if they did this on every order. That or it would be an inside joke, like FastTech.

my last order about 2 weeks ago took them like 4 days or more to process

I understand one day or two days for processing. I understand three if you tell the customer. But to receive an order confirmation, then nothing for 96 hours, then a shipping confirmation like everything is still in order is really irritating.

They processed my order quickly, but then UPS decided to drive my package up and down California for a week before sending it my way... In Illinois! It was supposed to arrive on Tuesday, will it make it today? I need my flavors!

I love seeing the zainy screencaps from the tracking tool where that shit goes across the country only to end up 120 miles from where it started. Buddy of mine once ordered cigars from a company in NH, where he lives, that floated around Miami for a week for reasons unknown.

I will never order from FlavorWest again. The last time I did someone used my CC # and tried to charge $230 for some bullshit stuff. Many people had the same thing happen to them and it was traced back to FW. I'm just glad my bank sent me a notice so I denied the charges. Make sure and watch out if that happens to you.

I appreciate your warning. I have luckily never had such a problem (knock on wood), but will take the appropriate cautionary measures.

My bank automatically notifies me of charges in excess of 150$. I will be on the lookout.

I just ordered from FW and I got my package in 5 days. I have never experienced a long processing time with them.
