Thinking about getting one of these to mix and store 100% VG nic base, it seems like it would work well for mixing by weight. Any reason why this isn't a good idea, and is there anything better suited?
Wal-Mart carries them for 97 cents each and look like this.. In-store only.
If you don't like the clear, they sell a yellow & red pack for $1.97 like this. Out of stock online and available in-store.
I find them in the same aisle as kitchen utensils, bottom shelf.
I've been using one of the clears for VG for about 8 months now, and no problems yet. The opening in the tip is big enough to not take forever to dispense but still small enough to allow some control over drop size. I *think* they are 12 oz, but not sure.
Might be a bit large for nic. I'm looking for a cheap 2oz bottle. May have to just settle for one of the 1 or 4oz bottles I already have.
Thank you so much. I live in the middle of no where and I have no local stores to buy DIY stuff. This is acutally in stock at my Walmart and I could really use them tomorrow. :)
We use those for various simple syrups on the show, and they work just fine. You can get them cheaper at Harbor Freight, though. Same food-grade bottles, just repackaged.
This. I just picked a 3 pack up @ the local HF for $2.99.
I get 4 or 8oz bottles with Yorker spout caps from Heartland Vapes, and use them for nic.
I wouldn't store nic in it for a long time (I go through it pretty quick), because it will oxidize over time (I did once have a bottle of nic that was fine for almost a year in a plastic bottle in a room that stays ~70F year round).
I use this for PG/VG, and initially I used it for nic. My issue with that style bottle is that it is clear, and I had some nic quality issues after a little while. I'm trying out just using droppers with a glass amber bottle to try remedying that.
These are leak prone, I would not recommend it in case anything gets tipped over. For me, I don't have a dedicated mixing space so I have to store everything in boxes meaning if the bottle tips over in there I could get nic poisoning from touching the bottom of the box.
I have similar bottles I got at a resturaunt supply store. Every decent sized town has one, like wasserstrom
Was using some like that, but they were a bit leaky, and a PITA with the cap. I ended up getting these. They have screw tops and don't leak so I'm liking them better.
