Give me some ideas (black cherry cream soda)
submitted over 10 years ago by magespooks

I was at lunch today at this little burger joint / soda bar and got a black cherry cream soda. First sip I found myself thinking what a great vape that would make.

Any ideas to get me started? Which black cherry is good? I have no experience with the flavor.

I found this and thought it was a good base to start with, thoughts?

In the sidebar on the right there is a link to a thread with reviews of tons of the flavors from the big name brands. http://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/2ehekc/master_flavor_reviews_and_tasting_notes/

The three creams in that recipe are very commonly used. Not sure what they taste like mixed with cream soda though. Knowing their pretty common, if it doesn't work out with those flavors you're about 3 quarts of the way to a Sugarbear clone.

I've been meaning to ask around for a flavor that gives the tingle that cola does without the cola taste. I don't have any experience with that recipe or TPA Cola, but I vape this every now and again.

That particular recipe is very cola-ey. I kind of think the recipe you linked would be closer to to vanilla coke than cream soda. But like I said, I don't have any experience with TPA Cola.

I could remove the cola syrup but I'm not sure that would leave me more than a black cherry cream. Which sounds ok, but not that lite cola.

I think that that recipe would end up like creamy cherry cola, and not cherry cream soda. That's all I was really trying to say. Give it a whirl, worst that can happen is you wasted 25 cents.

edit: I just re read your question. I would reccomend FA Black Cherry. It's strong, but it's what I expected black cherry to taste like.

I've been using CAP Cola for a cherry coke recipe.

It's good but in my opinion it's a pretty strong flavor.

I just got a little bottle of TFA Cola. Haven't tried it yet but if I remember to mix it up tonight I'll try and report back on which of those two in particular are better.

I did make a mix with TFA Dr. Pop recently. Now, I doubt that you would go for Dr. Pop with what you're trying to do... but just in case you came across it and considered giving it a shot... don't expect to be too happy with the outcome. It's basically no flavor on the inhale and a weird almost chemically taste on the exhale... followed by a strange lingering flavor/feeling in your mouth.

If you get somewhere with this recipe at some point I'd love to try it. Sounds good! :)

Thanks. I'm sure this one will be a long term project.

I'm quite fond of playing around with soda vapes. I'd suggest FA Cola or INW Cola, they are both outstanding flavors for a cola base. FA Black Cherry is also wonderful as far as that flavor goes.
