So I've been mixing for a few months now, and altho I got a few little success (mostly from taking recipes from here and adding my touch), I finally came up with a mix that made me go "Wow, I'm on to something".
The main idea was to get close to Monkey Paw, a popular e-juice in Canada, from Vapor North. I didn't expect much, but boy was I wrong. It's not on par but it's close enough to satisfy me.
8% LA Banana cream
8% TFA Vanilla swirl
2% FA Cookie
1 drop/15ml TFA Banana ripe
2 drops/10ml FA Hazelnut
Recipe is very simple but very good, perfect for an ADV. A sweet, fruity inhale with a smooth and creamy exhale.
The Vanilla swirl comes out a bit too much to my liking (reminds me of RY4 flavors), fruity touch needs a bit more sweetness (to my taste) but overall a very satisfying result. Will probably drop the Vanilla swirl to 4-6%, and give it a bit more sweetness by adding Brown sugar or Marshmallow.
I had to share it with you guys, because if it wasn't for /r/DIY_eJuice, I'd probably still be wasting my paychecks on e-liquids. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do. If you try it, please leave some feedback!
Juice in Canada is pretty expensive, eh? Haven't tried monkeys paw yet but I got a few others from them, it looks good based on your recipe though. Mh first diy order id in and I should have 120 mls of fizzmustards nana cream made up this weekend. :)
Monkey Paw is my fav from what I've tried up here yet, with Evaperated's Blue sky Bitch coming as a close second. Been trying to clone that aswell but it's pretty tricky.
As far as fizzmustard's recpes goes, I was lacking some ingredients, had to sub TFA Dragon Fruit for FW's, and TFA Strawberry for Strawberry ripe... and I love it. My favorite mix so far, altho I lack the "real" ingredients. I have 7x 30ml bottles of it steeping right now. I should probably get the TFA Strawberry and Dragon fruit to try the real thing, or should I say the real clone.
Nice to hear you're starting DIY. Just make sure to not get discouraged, patience is the key, really. Try single flavors first and I'm sure you'll have a good time/vape :P.
I have a sampler on the way from evaporated, blue sky bitch is probably the one I'm most curious to try, and alpha blood, but I regret not getting mana biscuit.
The bakery/dessert vapes like apple pie really haven't impressed me yet though, just upgraded to a lemo drop last night and im getting a ton more flavour, so I plan to retry most of my juices to see if they have improved. Not much has impressed me yet except the only american juice I had which is nana cream.
Have you really liked any other Canadian juices? I want to try jugheads, the vaporist, and theres another couple I forget now. :s
I purchased a few of Jugheads and couldn't vape any of them. They all had a peppery taste to me.
Not sure which Evaporated you tried besides BSB and Alpha Blood, but Hannibal Nectar (I'd love to clone this one) is really good, Bluchie (needs steeping - would love to clone), Sinister Grape, Crassberry and of course Mana Biscuit. I just got a sample of Pez Off that I can't wait to try, but I'm letting it steep.
I loved the DSV juice I tried, G-Money. Everyone raves about King's Cream. Sugar Cookie and Vader Puddin' are yummie. Oh, can't forget one that really surprised me, Strawberry Sweets and I'm not into tobacco vapes.
Captain Olivers line (especially Corsair) is very popular. He also makes Toronto Juice Co. and Funksauce.
I'm loving Vape Stash Drips from Vape Stash. He's newish to the juice market (makes beautiful drip tips) but his juice is top notch. Blerrberry Tea, 321Go!, Maca and Molapple are really good and he is coming out with a new Orange Crunch in the next few weeks.
Where'd you get your citric?
Bulk barn has some, lifetime supply for 5 bucks. They don't sell it in bulk though, it's in a seasoning style container, like montreal steak spice comes in.
