What flavoring brand are you using? What are you mixing in? What is your PG/VG target blend, looks like 50/50? You may want to try 70% vg for an RDA.
I am going for 50/50 because I haven't tried anything else yet. I got all the supplies from Wizard Labs, the flavors are from LorAnn and The Flavor Apprentice through Wizard Labs I believe. I'll try out a 70vg, thanks for the input!
I would also highly recommend upgrading from a notebook to a calculator. I still have my best recipes written down, but a calculator lets you be precise with your total contents. 15 drops is ~.75 ml - about 1ml would be 5% flavoring. Depending on the brand of each flavor, I'd probably recommend higher.
In general, I find drippers don't like PG and will be harsh with too much. As you don't have to worry about a tank wicking the juice, go as high VG as you can and this will definitely decrease harshness.
If I remember right, Coconut gunks up coils like a mofo no matter what you do.
I have also tried plain mango and peach, both are still pretty harsh at 3mg
Describe the harshness if you can. Is it a peppery hit to the back of the throat? Or does it feel like your lungs are strained? Or a bitter/sharp taste in your mouth?
Maybe it needs steeping?
Does steeping decrease harshness? I was under the impression that it only increases flavor, but ill give it a shot
I've noticed that some of my flavors contain ethyl alcohol which makes them harsh. If I mix in a bottle, I will shake it and leave the dripper cap off for the first 12-24 hours to help the alcohol dissipate. Maybe try a higher vg level too. 30pg 70vg mix is what I use for my RDAs.
You're using coconut with a few drops of lemon?
You're using 50/50 PG/VG. PG gives you a throat hit, VG for vapor. Use as little PG as you can in your recipe. Just enough to thin out the VG (or use DI to cut the VG).
Try using 1 flavor at a time. Coconut is a tricky flavor. Make just a lemon dilution and a coconut dilution, vape for test, then mix those to figure out approximate ratios you want in the final flavor.
