Quite the collection you've established there. Definitely interested in hearing some more feedback on the Medicine Flower stuff!

Reviews on these would be very, very much appreciated. I'm contemplating picking some up as well (specifically peanut, rum, white peach, and hazelnut) but that price point is a bit crazy. How much did that all set you back if you don't mind me asking?

I paid the prices you see on the site. Generally $22 per bottle. Some of the bottles from the essential oils line vary in price. I have been happy with everything I've used so far. Extremely potent and very true tasting flavors.

I guess I was hoping there was some kind of coupon out there. Oh well. Who needs money when you have DIY (at least that's what I keep telling myself). Did you happen to pick up hazelnut? If so, is it the flavor of raw or roasted hazelnuts?

I did, and that's a good question. I've only smelled it briefly and all I remember is thinking that it smells amazing. Couldn't tell you specifically right now but I'll let you know next time I have it out.

I'm mixing with it right now. It smells toasted. Will report back on flavor.

Edit: Will take some steeping to come through. Can't tell as of yet.

Holy crap OP, there's over $800 worth of flavors in there!

You're very fortunate to go all out like that. Please do post reviews/notes so the rest of us can pick and choose :D

Oh hell yes!

Hey! Have you played with the Wild Raspberry yet?

1 points

by OpenSourceVaporover 10 years ago

I intend to, but haven't ordered it yet. What's it smell like? Anything in common with artificial blue raspberry? Because that would open the doors to a mountain dew baja blast flavor.

I just took it back out to give it a whiff. Personally I was hoping it would be along the lines of the cabernet sauvignon but I think it's more of a candy-type flavor. I might try a 0.75% sample this weekend. I'll let you know.

Can confirm. I mixed 2 drops per 15ml + 3.5% Reb A 120mg/ml and its candy blue razz all over. Tasty, I must say.

Medicine Flower

Medicine flower has lovely flavors. Start at 1% mixing rate. FYI the caramel and butterscotch both have diaceytl. If you would like advice on any particular flavors, let me know.

They tell me that caramel and butterscotch have less than 0.02% diacetyl, and that they're re-testing to find how much less. I would love it if the industry would agree on a threshold for what counts as diacetyl free, like how gluten-free has an established ppm you have to be under to count as gluten-free.

Agreed. Btw, love your juice.

Are caramel and butterscotch the only two that aren't safe to vape? Do you happen to have the specific gravity for any of the flavors?

1 points

by Badgerfacedcatover 10 years ago

I don't sorry. I do know that caramel and butterscotch are the only ones and it's very very low.

1 points

by loud_carover 10 years ago

Oh no. I love the caramel and I wanted the butterscotch :(

1 points

by Badgerfacedcatover 10 years ago

Honestly I still use the caramel. It's very low in diaceytl anyways and then mixing it at .5%-1% makes it very low.

by loud_carover 10 years ago

This is true. I rarely go over 1% of any MF flavor. That's low enough that I feel okay about it.

Do you have any experience with MF Wintergreen? I wanna make a wintergreen tobacco but Idk how strong it is.

Have you got any stand-out favorites from them?

I want to try some, but I definitely can't afford to go all out like OP did just yet.

by Badgerfacedcatover 10 years ago

All of them lol. No seriously they're all really good when mixed properly. I love fruit flavors and berries especially, so strawberry, blueberry, raspberry (best I've ever tried), kiwi, black plum, guava, ect ect. Not to say that the coffees and chocolates aren't good; in fact the dark chocolate is the best chocolate I've tried so far.

Thanks! I will have to try a few out for sure.

That dark chocolate is so fire. Paired it up with hazelnut, banana and caramel. So perfect. What can you tell me about the guava? I want to embark on a tropical flavor and/or a strawberry guava of sorts. Got any ideas?

Maybe I'm weird and maybe I'm in the minority. I don't really mind a trace amount of diacetyl because I figure it's a hell of a lot better than the chemicals I put into my body by smoking analogues for years.

Reviews please! I am so curious on their fruits. Quite jealous of that little box

1 points

by loud_carover 10 years ago

Not really sure how to review them other than by saying they are the most potent flavors I've ever had and they taste how they are supposed to. No candy/ artificial tastes.

Grapefruit, black and green tea coming soon.

Grapefruit is out already but you have to request it.

by loud_carover 10 years ago

They have black and green tea?

1 points

by abdadaover 10 years ago

They will soon. Extraction stage.

by loud_carover 10 years ago

Nice. Not that big into teas but let me know how they are if you get them. They sent me a freebie of their grapefruit essential oil. Haven't gotten into it yet. Not a huge fan of it so it may take me a bit to find a good combo for it.
