Nic in PG or VG base?
submitted over 10 years ago by 00ssnorcal

Who uses what? My thought was the Nic in pg base would carry flavor better, But it make is harder to mix at higher vg ratios when most flavors are in a PG base.

I get it in PG. I do this only because it's easier to work with after it's been stored in the freezer. VG is thick and can get messy at room temperature. VG out the ice box is super duper thick, making it more difficult to get an accurate measurement. It would be especially troublesome for those using syringes when mixing.

PG is what I have.

I mix by volume, and I regret purchasing nic in VG.

I will definitely buy 100% PG next time.

Nude nicotine gives you an option to order it in a blend of both. I make mostly 50/50 blends, so that is how I ordered it. Having that PG in there helps so much when using blunt needles. I also feel like it will also mix up better after having sat for longer periods of time.

Thats what I do. I use 70/30 blend so my mixes come out at +/- 60/40.

I use VG, although I may switch to a blend next time just to try to thin it out a bit.

Having it in VG makes the math a little easier for me. I typically shoot for a ~50/50 mix in the final product, I use about the same quantity of 100mg/ml nicotine base as I do my flavors, and all of my flavors are PG-based. I've found doing it this way also helps me use my VG and PG about equally, meaning I don't run out of one while I still have 100ml left of the other.

I vape at a max vg and order vg nic as well. I typically only have a small bottle of pg on hand. Yes it can be a pain in the ass to work with though. If I vaped more toward 50/50, I would be purchasing pg nic.

I prefer PG. VG is thick and makes it a bit harder to use safely, for me.

I buy bulk vg split it into what I need put rest in freezer, if I need more a quick warm water bath makes it thin enough
