Beginning my journey tonight
submitted over 10 years ago by sardo78

I've finally got everything I need as far as I know. So, tonight after the kiddos go to bed, I'll mix up my first batches. I can't thank this community enough. This is actually my first post, but I've been stalking around for a few months. I've read almost everything in the side bar and looked through what seems like a thousand recipes. I've narrowed it down to five. I will list them here and what I've found for suggested "steep" times. This is one area I could use some input on. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks again DIY'ers.

fizzmustard's nana cream He states in the thread that it's good to go right away.

kirkt's honey peary clone He states in the thread 24 hours on ?coffee warmer?

mighty_mighty's snake oil Someone in the thread said good to go right away.

botboy141's Dreamwalker From the Google doc, need some feedback.

botboy141's Mother's Milk From the Google doc, need some feedback.

I just want to say good luck. I'm not sure what flavors you ordered but I would also mix up a batch of something simple. We are still vaping the first 2 flavor recipe I ever made. I was where your at back in November, now I could go mix 2000ml right now with what I have in stock.

Enjoy.

Nanacream is pretty much shake & vape- it does get better after a few days and the banana calms down. For all of the juices I suggest this method: 20-25 minutes in a ziplock in a bowl of hot tap water or microwaved dry rice, remove and shake for 60 seconds each, repeat one more time. Let sit in a warm dark drawer or cabinet. Shake once a day if you remember. At least 24 Hours for Honey Peary, 3-5 days for dreamwalker and mothers milk. Snake Oil can be vaped immediately, but it improved a LOT for me after 1-2 days. Edit- What % citric acid are you planning on using for the Nanacream? I have been altering this a lot lately, currently using 1.25%.

If anyone who shouldn't be shadowbanned- is actually curious- This recipe is off of /u/botboy141 's recipe list- which coincidentally match the known flavor base percentages for SeduceJuice and most of elr's recipes at 6.5% to 8% TPA Bavarian cream.

Thanks for the responses!

As far as the CA, I thought for my first attempt I'd follow the recipe to a T. Everybody's gotta start somewhere. So adding one drop per ml on top of the finished recipe is where I'll start. I can always play with the amount in follow up batches.

I mixed up a test batch of that Snake Oil clone in september of last year and to me it was awful as a shake and vape. I let it steep for a month and even then it was rough.

The pear was way too strong and the whole thing had a sour milk/sweaty feet taste. I was disappointed, so i tossed it into the bottom of my vape box and promptly forgot about it. I found it again about two weeks ago and figured it'd give it another shot before dumping it out.

It's fantastic....the pear had mellowed out very nicely and the coconut and cream came through for me on the exhale. Mixed up another 30ml bottle that night. Now the hard part is trying to "forget" about it for a few months to let it steep....sigh...

OMG you read the sidebar!!! Congrats on the self motivation to figure out what you would like to mix. Are you sure you don't want everyone here to think of what you would like to mix? Good luck and enjoy that tasty homemade juice..

@SeaVape. I've thought the same thing. Probably seen half a dozen posts in the last week where the first comment is "read the side bar". I'm all for helping, and getting help, but there is so much info there for the taking.

You have that right loads of info there. I just think some people want someone else to do the thinking for them. Its just when people say "Here are my flavors now tell me what I should make" is what seems way to lazy to me. This forum is great to get lots of help and answers to questions you have. But tell me what I should make I think is what that person mixing should ask themselves. Taking up DIY isn't something you can go into being a lazy thinking bugger if you know what I mean.

I've tried all of those recipes except for the snake oil clone (soon) but they're all wonderful flavors thus far.
