Hey guys, I put up a thread a few months ago looking for input into a sasquatch clone that I've been working on. If you've never tried sasquatch, it is a creamy, nutty blueberry blend that IMO is one of the better juices I've tasted. After going through alot of iterations (10ish with some other offshoots spawning other projects) I've come to something that does a pretty good job of replicating the taste and mouth-feel. I still think that it needs some work, but I wanted to come here and share with you guys because I have learned so much from this reddit. Here goes;
WIP VTNW Sasquatch Clone-
- Wild Blueberry (TFA) - 12%
- Sweet Cream (TFA) - 4%
- Hazelnut (TFA) - 2%
In my example mixed at 3MG 30/70 PG/VG So, if your so inclined go ahead and mix up a bottle for yourself and give me your opinion. I'd love some input to really nail this one down!

whats the diff between wild blueberry and blueberry extra? just curious if i could use blueberry extra in place of it or not

It's funny you say that, I had the same thought myself. Did you try it? Or just going off of the percentage. I'd like to try to work tfa dairy in as an accent to it as well. I'll probably mix up another batch tomorrow and post back my findings

Just tried it after leaving for 2 days to age (natural, no speed steeping)
I see exactly what you are going for with the flavour combinations, it has a nice creamy taste to it and the hazelnut mixes in really well, however the Blueberry is too overpowering for me and I'm getting too much citrus which is making it slightly harsh.
I'm thinking it may just need a little longer to age for the Blueberry to mellow out a bit.
I'll report back in a week or so!
Thanks for the input! As suggested by perrycox, I mixed a batch with less sweet cream and blueberry, and it seems even better, I'm letting mine do some steeping before testing again. Really shouldn't need too much, Sasquatch is usually pretty good to go right out of the mailbox

Has anyone tried using bavarian cream instead or in addition to sweet cream? Sweet cream seems like it's a little more buttery than what Sasquatch tastes like, but I don't know, I'm going to try your recipe first and see what I think. I just thought I'd throw that out there because it doesn't quite sound right to me.
I actually haven't tried it with Bavarian cream, but with sweet cream at such a low % it isn't too buttery IMO. The other day I had a though of adding some tfa whipped cream, and possibly reducing the blueberry to more like 6.5-7%. I think the sweetness you get from the whipped cream will help round out some of the tartness from the blueberry. So whipped cream and Bavarian cream will totally be in the next order.
The blueberry definitely needs to be toned down a bit! I tried a mix with %10 and even that seemed higher than the original v2 which is all I have tried.
I gave This a whirl and it's pretty damn good but again the blueberry is too high and it's definitely not exact but it's pretty good! I could vape it all day regardless!
Well I tried to mix my own sasquatch clone. It's not the same but it's pretty damn tasty. Here is the recipe.
It's a lot heavier on the blueberry than the real sasquatch and lacks a sort of cake flavor that the real sasquatch has but like I said I think it's pretty tasty! I could seriously vape it all day just like the real sasquatch so I am happy with it.

any updates on new formulations? this is my favorite juice of all time so i'd love to hear what you've come up with lately. i have bavarian cream but it doesn't have that full bodied creamy texture that the 'squatch has, IMO, but hopefully the sweet cream gets you there.
acutally haven't played with it too much, heres where im at right now though
- Wild Blueberry TFA - 6.5%
- Sweet Cream TFA - 2.5%
- Hazelnut TFA - 1%
- Blueberry Extra TFA - 2.5%
While this is pretty good, its definitely still missing something, the sweetness and full bodied cream still isn't there. I was suspecting Bavarian cream and or whipped cream but I haven't tried it yet.
Another reason that I know I'm still missing something is because the real deal turns a nice orange color as it ages, and mine barely turns away from clear. So french vanilla, might be it because I know it takes that color.
i've messed with some strawberry/bavarian cream blends and the BC definitely adds some body and fullness but doesn't seem to add all that much in terms of flavor, its definitely on the mild side, so im planning on throwing around 3% BC in there as well and i shall report back. thanks for doing the homework!
