I've got a few juices that seem to be eating away at the rubber seals on the caps. There are broken down particles on the paper shown. I threw one out that was completely corroded. This happened on a NN Shirley temple. The juice pictured was similar to a key lime.
I've only seen this happen with syringes, never mixed liquid. My guess is that it's something in the flavoring eating away at the rubber. Isoamyl acetate is a known destroyer of plastics. It's very common in banana and other citrus flavors. I believe triacetin will also crack plastics.
Hopefully some others chime in. I've not seen this happen with diluted flavoring though.

I've had it ruin some juices before. I used to use the carrying case from my VTR as a juice box - I'd have a couple handfuls of various juices that I'd carry around in my backpack.
My point is - my bottles aren't always standing upright, like they would on a shelf. I found out the hard way that certain juices of mine weren't friendly with rubber when I vaped some juice that had been in the case a while and all I tasted was burnt rubber. GROSS. Tossed the juice, tossed the bottle, vowed to switch to plastic bottles in my travel case. Glass for my absolute favorites, and they go on the shelf.
Standing the bottles upright does wonders for this on storage. If there was an all glass dripping solution, believe me, we'd be on it already :)
