No flavor just VG, PG, and Nic
submitted over 10 years ago by MrShuPuerh

I dont have any flavors at the moment and I am about to run out of juice. Has anyone made juice with no flavor?

It was an extraction, but only one molar. I would have kept it if I had dental insurance to afford the root-canal.

I usually vape a no-flavor juice when the vape tongue gets too bad, it gives the pallet a break & resets it.

I recently switched to unflavored after vaping flavors for my first year and couldn't be happier. I was growing concerned with the possible health implications. I found nude nicotine base was highly rated as a quality product with no negative taste profile and ordered 70%VG/30%PG at 6mg nic. It has been a great move for me. I feel better and noticed my coils don't "gunk up". I had been replacing the cotton wicks every few days because they turned brown and tastes bad. No more. I also got nude nicotine's menthol crystals and found they are a fantastic addition to the base. Added bonus, no smell in the air when I vape now! To answer your question, do it!

I couldn't have said it better! Same here except I flipped mine around to 40VG/60PG only because I've noticed VG seems to dehydrate me more than PG.

How much of the crystal stuff do you use

10% solution. I usually do about 28 grams (27 mL) of PG and 3 grams of menthol. It's a good starting point for menthol. Also, crush it up real fine and warm the PG up for 10 second in the microwave before mixing to help it dissolve better.

note: menthol does not dissolve for crap in VG. It works OK if you're putting 1/12tsp (about the size of an advil pill) into 30mL but I tried to make menthol base out of VG and ended up with a crystal slush sort of mess.

I keep it simple. I take an old 30 ml bottle and fill to just above the bottom of the label. Then add base until the bottle is filled. It's a small amount and has a big effect. Nude Nicotine's website has recommended ratios if you're the measuring type.

We have a special blend in our shop for one customer -- unflavored 18mg 70/30 PG/VG. Honestly, he could save money buying the stuff and doing it at home.. but who am I to complain when it gives me a paycheck?

I occasionally do 0 nic 50/50 in my RDA when I'm testing samples from vendors to make sure one flavor doesn't carry over to the next.

You still need to let it steep though?

Nope. Just mix well.

sure, all the time. I use it to vape a flavor off when I'm testing and don't feel like changing wicks.

I vape unflavored from time to time. It's actually pretty good. It was a part of my "rotation" not long ago - but now I have too many flavors to try :)

I was running low on supplies and mixed up some nic, vg, ethyl maltol(4%) juice. Mildly sweet and crystal clear. Of course you can adjust the pg/vg ratio to your liking but I'm enjoying it enough to work it into my regular rotation. Bonus: requires no curing, just shake & vape.

Yeah. Hey though. DIY flavor extractions with coffee or tea are amazing and super tasty. Check the wiki.

it's my ADV to be honest. Coils last weeks when they'd nomally last a couple of days with flavours, and barely needs cleaning at all. Also seems to be much more gentle on my lungs. I don't really miss flavours at all - maybe once in a blue moon i'll drip some bubblegum mix for shits and giggles, but unflavoured is actually pretty nice.

There's one way to find out for sure - DIY!

I've found if you had a strong flavor in there before, the first few hits will taste like that. It progressively gets weaker into nothing from there.
