.... Salty Garbage Juice?

So, I mixed up the following juice on Saturday

6% Ry4 double

2% Bavarian Cream (TFA)

2% 48mg nic in a 50/50 base

90% 50/50 vg/pg

When I vaped some of it last night, it tasted as I expected - like RY4 double with a touch of creaminess.

When I vape it today.....all the sweetness and creaminess is gone, and I'm left with, well...salty garbage, as if all I'm tasting is the saltiness of the caramel.

The base isn't contaminated - I made a few bottles with just 6% Lemonade ,2 % 48mg nic in a 50/50 base, and 92% 50/50 base and they don't have this issue. The coils and wick were replaced last night, so it shouldn't be that either.

I've tried resetting my palette with coffee or mouthwash...I've tried hydrating...I'm at a loss.

Anyone have any insight or experience with an issue like this?

So how long does it need to steep before I get the full salty garbage flavor? And are we talking kitchen garbage, restroom garbage, medical waste? I feel like 2% rat carcass and 4% moldy bread will really make the flavor pop, I'll get back to you.

Definitely kitchen garbage.

Unfortunatealy, Heartlandvapes doesn't carry rat carcass or moldy bread, so I have to do with somehow transforming Ry4double and cream into salty garbage.

saw it online somewhere add 1% used bandaid and 2 drops per ml of old butter wrapper(the kind where the butter has turned more yellow than normal)

RY4 requires a 4-6 week steep for optimal flavor. No speed steeping method I've tried has ever made tobaccos not require a steep.

It gets stronger with time as well.

Edit: Patience. I don't even try my tobacco mixes the first two weeks...

Perhaps I'll just switch to my lemonades and let my other Ry4 bottles steep then.

What kind of container are you storing it in?
What are you using for a wick?

I don't know if this will help, but with Bavarian Cream and other such flavors, I like to vape them at a lower voltage/wattage. Currently, on 1.6 Ohm dual-coil, I am vaping around 12.4 watts and get rich flavor.

I also shy away from cotton wicks. They seem to not draw enough flavor, and I am left with flavorless VG/PG.

It could be that the two flavors are chemically reacting. Initially, they haven't reacted yet. Now, they have had time to mix. If that is the case, I don't think there is much you can do besides not mix those two together. I'm sure a chemist could elaborate.

Plastic bottle I've stored other juices in with no issue.

Organic cotton.

I've never had an issue with organic cotton with any of my other DIY flavors or storebought stuff.

I've seen some other recipes that call for Ry4D and Bavarian cream to be mixed, though I haven't tried them.

IS it sort of a burnt garbage taste? i get that with alot of carmels and RY4s, some times it like burnt pop corn, some times its like earwax. but yeah i've never had good luck with strong carmel or RY4 mixes
