Looking for a Pony on Acid recipe.
submitted over 10 years ago by taylor297

I recently tried pony on acid by smax and it was absolutely delicious. However i cant bring myself to pay $25 for a 30ml. Does anyone have a recipe for this? the description says its mixed berries with a strawberry glaze but from what I've found nobody can really pinpoint what else is missing. Thanks for the replies!

You may try contacting /u/The_Perrycox for his take on this juice.

Here ya go! I tried the Original at ECC, so I don't really have much more than a memory to base mine off. It was suggested by a friend to use Cranberry instead of Raspberry, but I've not made any recent flavoring orders. I do however, still enjoy this one daily.

  • 4% FE Strawberry

  • 2% TFA Strawberry Ripe

  • 1% FA Raspberry

  • 1% CAP Harvest Berry

  • .5% FA Lemon Sicily

  • .5% TFA Sweetener

  • .25 TFA Sour

Finally got in all the components to make this. I made two 30mL batches, the first one actually smelled like the real juice right after I made it but I gave it a hot water bath for 20 minutes and now it just tastes like the strawberry Hickory Farms candies.

I thought I had screwed it up so I made a second batch without the bath, still tastes like the first one although not as much. Going to give this one some steep time. I was so damn excited to make this, now I will play the waiting game and test each one and see how they come along.

If the hickory farms ish strawberry (FE) is too prevalent compared to the real thing you can always dial that back a little and increase the other strawberry ripe. Or simply use more ripe, maybe 4-8%. The FE is quite strong, and it may be better suited in the background as a candy/glaze type of strawberry.

My memory of the original was quite vague, but if the smell is similar from the start we are in the right ballpark! Let me know what your opinion is once it's had some time to age!

Thanks for the feedback too!

This sounds awesome although I dont have FE strawberry. Is it comparable to TFA's regular strawberry or CA sweet strawberry?

It's a very unique and delicious strawberry, one of my favorites actually! It's very similar to those red strawberry candies from Hickory Farms and such. If I had to compare it to those two you listed, I'd try TFA.

Definitely a strawberry worth adding to your collection!
