How do I make this scale stop turning off? It was widely recommended on this sub.

Holy shit. Didnt even realize the scale had batteries. Thought it always had to be plugged in. I thought you were crazy, "my scale never turns off, wtf?"

In other news, i would make a terrible drug dealer.

My mom has that scale and was all, "You know the scale has batteries." Yes mom, but I have a shitton to measure and don't want to try to find working batteries in your house.

Yup. Plug it in and it won't shut off. On batteries it shuts down in 2-3 minutes I believe. I ordered the exact same one.

Yep, plugged it it will stay on indefinitely. I've forgotten to turn it off and come back a couple days later with it still on.

if you are going to run on batteries. just touch it every once in a while.

is that thing precise enough to mix samples? Like let's say a 5mL test with some ingredients at 0.1 or 0.2mL?

It is precise enough. It has 0.01g resolution and 0.1ml weighs 10X that.

1% of 5ml is about .05 grams so you're good. You may need a smaller pipette to make it easier though.

Got mine about a week ago and have had some trouble calibrating it; and am seeing a 3-5 gram drift when there's nothing on the scale. Think I got it sorted but if not it will be going back for a replacement. Nice scale, though :)

Make sure you put the scale on a solid surface and nothing around it is moving. Even if you have it on a counter, it will fluctuate when you lean in the counter (or even breathe on it hard enough). That's actually a sign of precision. If it doesn't fluctuate easily, then something is wrong.

Agreed, but the drift shouldn't be 3-5 grams on a solid surface. I got the thing calibrated and I think it's working normally now, but time will tell. I have almost a month to ask for another one, so I'm gonna play with this one for a bit first :)

I noticed that too but that was fixed by making sure it was level and on a stable surface. Haven't had an issue since.

Try re-calibrating it with the included weights. I had to recalibrate mine out of the box and it has been fine since. Make sure you plug it in and it is on a level surface before you do it.

Why cant I see the big picture? I can tell which scale it is from the thumbnail. It just goes to a blank screen

Oh well.....I have had mine for about a month or more and it works flawless....I was fluctuating too, and realize that the fan I had on was making it do that
