Happy new year, mixers!

All of your best individual creations belong here. Clones you made should go in the clone thread, and we also have weekly threads for noob questions and "help me mix something with these flavors" threads. Please help keep the community "clean" by posting in appropriate threads.

It's best to use the format:
<Flavor> (<Vendor>) @ x%
<Flavor> (<Vendor>) @ x%
<Flavor> (<Vendor>) @ x%
<Flavor> (<Vendor>) y drops per z ml
(note - if you are having trouble with spacing, hit the space bar twice before you hit return and your typing will begin on a new line).

Again - before you post a new thread, have you used the search function and the sidebar?

Happy Mixing!

Kheer

  • Almond (FA) @ 0.9%
  • Bavarian Cream (FW) @ 2.3%
  • Cardamom (FA) @ 2.3%
  • Fresh Cream (FA) @ 4.5%
  • Crispy Rice Cereal (FW) @ 3%
  • Pistacchio (FA) @ 0.9%
  • Raisin (TFA) @ 2.7%

This was my first original recipe, and is my favorite so far and my current adv. I mix it 60PG/40VG @ 6mg. Good right after a shake, even better after a few days steep.

Nice to see someone thinking outside of the box with some FA flavors that I don't have in my box. Is the raisin sweet?

2 points

by cognitivegearover 10 years ago

Thanks! The raisin doesn't seem very sweet to me, though I have only tested it singly by smell and as a drop in water rather than as a single flavor vape. I don't think it would work well on it's own or as the primary flavor in a recipe in my opinion, though it seems to blend well with other flavors. From this recipe I get a fairly subtle raisin flavor on the inhale at 2.7% even though it seems to be plenty strong by itself, I think the cream or cereal is mellowing it out.

Actually the real star with this recipe I think is the Cardamom - I love the flavor anyway, and it comes across great for vaping. I'm looking for more recipes to use it in now, probably the next one I'm going to try to make is a Pista Kulfi. If it turns out good I'll post it on here as well.

I guess I'll post my revised 'nana Puddin' recipe that will be for sale shortly. I think this is the final version, but as always, subject to tweaking over time. Obviously as it still hasn't steeped for more than a month or so, it won't be going into my signature line or anything, just under development until the appropriate steep time has been reached.

I'm sure y'all will enjoy this fresh or steeped though.

'nana Puddin' V2.34

  • 4% TFA Vanilla Custard
  • 7% LA Banana Cream
  • 1.5% TFA Graham Cracker (clear)
  • 1.5% FA Cookie
  • 1.5% TFA Bavarian Cream
  • 1.5% TFA Peanut Butter
  • 1% CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl
  • 0.5% TFA Ripe Banana
  • 1% TFA Sweetener
  • 0.5% TFA Sour

The Peanut Butter is the key here...

No need for me to write 1000x tasting notes and variations, just mix it...Trust me...

Edit: As always, a week steep minimum is ideal but feel free to shake and vape to get an idea...

Yeah I've been vaping on it for about 3 weeks now and it's gotten better every single day. At the start, the ripe banana comes through a little too much on the exhale, but OMG give it a little time...

by Nicobeakover 10 years ago

I went through 60+ ml of your first iteration over the past couple weeks. It is damn good. I just ran out, so I'll be mixing this up sans ripe banana, sour, and sweetner (EM has been working ok), but I'm excited to try this one when I can get the rest of the stuff.

TFA Banana Cream is nothing like LA Banana Cream

1 points

by prime1ndustriesover 10 years agoMixologist

Totally. I have used various other Banana Cream's and none of them hold a candle to the LA version.

What about subbing FW Peanut Butter for the TFA? Would you keep the %'s the same? What's your opinion on FW's Peanut Butter vs. TFA, tried both?

Thanks for sharing your recipe... It's sounds amazing. I'm going to give it a shot soon, but with FW Peanut Butter...

Been doing a lot more messing around than usual lately. Some that I'm working on:

Cake Day

  • 5% Cake Batter (NF)

  • 6% Vanilla Cupcake (CAP)

Notes: Not really where I want it yet. Been trying to get a "confetti cake" type flavor and this is the closest I've come. NF Cake Batter is really good - better than any other I've tried for my tastes. CAP Vanilla Cupcake gives a great creamy vanilla icing. They're just not blending the way I want yet. Going to need to steep it.

Insomnia

  • 4% Chocolate Doughnut (CAP)

  • 1% Coffee Espresso (FA)

  • 2% Fresh Cream (FA)

Notes: Obviously inspired by Velvet Cloud's Night Shift. Haven't had that in like two years though. Just going off of the doughnut/chocolate/coffee idea. Coffee Espresso is so damn strong. Needs steeping and probably more cream.

Soylent

  • 5% EM

  • 1 drop Swetener per 5ml

Notes: Probably not worth posting but I've never vaped unflavored and never thought I'd want to. This is really nice though. Probably my new ADV. Just a slight sugary sweetness and nothing more.

EDIT:

Insomnia r1

  • 5% Chocolate Doughnut (CAP)

  • 7% Butterscotch (FW)

  • 1% Coffee Espresso (FA)

  • 4% Meringue (FA)

  • 3% Yellow Cake (FW)

Notes: I went a little overboard trying a revision of it and oh man its really good. Just wanted some more cakey-ness to it and thought butterscotch would be a nice compliment. Going to keep tweaking it but man.. yummy! Meringue is a great addition for a creamy/milky background. The doughnut is coming through stronger. Butterscotch could probably use some raising in the percentage department. Espresso isn't nearly as overwhelming here. Good stuff.

Orange Cupcake

  • 8% Vanilla Cupcake (CAP)

  • 4% Sweet Tangerine (CAP)

  • 4% Yellow Cake (FW)

  • 2% Sweetener

Notes: Hostess makes those awesome cupcakes with orange icing and cream inside. Love those. This is pretty good but could use some more balancing. Next time I'll probably try without the Sweetener. Too much of a weird aftertaste. The Capella cupcake is a good vanilla/cupcake mix but the yellow cake was necessary to boost the "cupcake" part. The other two alone weren't nearly cake-y enough. Going to have to let it steep before I mess with it more.

Other than that I'm still working on that Cuttwood Unicorn Milk clone. Actually getting really close! Probably going to post what I've come up with soon.

Hey man, anything ever come of that confetti cake? Its something ive been contemplating, so I figured Id touch base with ya.

1 points

by captaincannibalover 10 years ago

I really wish I could say I worked more on it but unfortunately I have not. I still think some sort of Vanilla Cupcake+Cake Batter combo is the best starting point. FW also released this Cake Batter Dip flavoring which I imagine would make a fantastic addition if its any good. I plan to order some if I can find a smaller size somewhere so I can give it a try.

I also think FA Meringue could help to give it a sugary/milky flavor that it was severely lacking. I'll definitely give this all a try at some point. Hopefully sometime this month. Just been very busy with work.

I am so happy to have found your recipe! Wow, I have been making one like this for a couple of years now! Actually, it was really my first good recipe 😉. Mine's the same except I don't add any Bavarian Cream, only 5% Ripe Strawberry and more of the Cheesecake Graham Crust at 8%. I call it Strawnana Cheesecake Vanilla Custard; long name I know. It actually is my favorite DIY juice! Thanks for sharing this! I'll try your recipe, it's the Strawberry and Banana that always go well together, imho... 😉 Don't be dead, vape instead 💨!

Blueberriary

  • 14% Blueberry Wild (TFA/TPA)
  • 6% Lemon (TFA/TPA)

I'm not the most experienced mixer and it's a super simple recipe but it's one of the first ones I made that I enjoyed a lot.

4 points

by martyhinesover 10 years ago

I'll kick things off. This is copy/pasted from a recipe I posted yesterday in the December thread. I hope someone tries it!

This takes a little while to come together, but it's pretty good straightaway.

  • 1% Banana Cream (TPA)
  • 2.5% Coconut (CAP)
  • 2% Milk Chocolate (TPA)
  • 2% Simply Vanilla (CAP)
  • 1% Sweet Cream (CAP)
  • 2.5% Toasted Almond (CAP)
  • 4% Vanilla Swirl (TPA)

If you have a chance to mix this up, I'd been interested in knowing what you think.

by terror_faceoffover 10 years ago

Mixed this up on Sunday, didn't have milk chocolate so I used double chocolate clear at same %. Tasted it today, and it is quite nice. Subtle banana flavor comes through with pleasant sweet notes to follow. I'm going to bump up the % of coconut next time I make it and add a dash of either orange creme or orange mandarin to see how that plays on the banana cream. All in all, a pretty smooth decent recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Hello children!

French Razz Custard recipe

I just made my very first mixed flavor using the flavors I had. I was emulating a blueberry custard recipe I found on this subreddit, but had to substitute some flavors for what I had in stock. My flavors are all from MBV.

8% Raspberry

6% Vanilla Custard

3% French Vanilla

3% Graham Cracker

Feel free to mix it up yourself and I'm open to any pointers you guys might have to offer. I really appreciate all of the info I've gathered from this community and love how helpful you guys and girls all are. Thanks again and enjoy!

Papa Smurf, one of my faves. Needs at least 2 weeks to steep for maximum flavor profile.

Blueberry extra TFA 10% Vanilla bean ice cream TFA 10% Caramel original TFA 5% Hazelnut TFA 0.3%

The longer it sits, the better it gets. Also, if I plan on leaving it sit for a while, like 3+ weeks, I'll usually add another .1 or .2 hazelnut. But, if I want to vape asap, a tone it down. Enjoy!

3 points

by Nstewartover 10 years agoMixologist

Papa Smurf:

10% TFA Blueberry Extra

10% TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

5% TFA Caramel Original

0.3% TFA Hazelnut

Dunno wtf is up with that spacing but here's the thing reformatted.

Here's a little something that I have been working on lately that I'm happy enough with to submit here. Please let me know if you mix it and what you think about it. I'm all ears to any feedback, and definitely want to hear what you did if you tweak it and improve upon it in any way.

It's a pastry/dessert vape that tastes kinda like a southern-style Blueberry Crumble dessert. I find that there's a buttery aspect to it that I'm curious to figure out which combination of flavorings is giving it. I'm pretty sure it's the Sweet Cream and something else. Anyway, I find the recipe pretty good and it's currently my ADV.

I have been mixing it MAX VG, at 2mg nic, and dripping it at high wattage...

Blueberry Yum Yum

You're very welcome, and I hope to hear back from you if you try it out.

by davidk48over 10 years ago

So I made this yesterday but I used Vanilla Bean Gelato instead of Ice Cream and LorAnn's Cheesecake instead of TFA. It is really, really good.. exactly what I was hoping it would taste like. The blueberry is very mild but you still know it's there. The rest tastes like a crumble dessert with cream over it. I do think the buttery aspect is coming mostly from the sweet cream, but I enjoy it a lot.

It reminded me quite a bit of Pencil from Must Vape, which is a pear crisp e liquid, so I immediately made another bottle replacing the blueberry with an equal amount of TFA Pear. This also turned out really good. The creams smooth out the bite of the pear which makes for a nice balance of flavors.

I'm going to let each of these steep longer before I start playing around with the recipes, but you did a really good job with this! I can see playing around with FA Cookie and Apple Pie (which is mostly pie crust) to develop the crumble portion more, and experimenting with different blueberries as well (FA Bilberry comes to mind).

Thanks again for sharing your work!

Finally labbed this year.

Ape Tits

Milk Chocolate(TFA)@14%

Ripe Banana(TFA)@1%

Pretty good fresh I am hoping the Banana comes out a little more after the steep.

Ape Tits v2

Double Chocolate(TFA)@10%

Ripe Banana(TFA)@1%

This one was a little interesting. The chocolate was barely there during the hit but matured pretty hard as an aftertaste. I can't wait to see what steeping does to this.

Nannerbutter

Peanut butter(TFA)@14%

Ripe Banana(TFA)@1%

Again I hope the Banana comes out a little more after the steep but good fresh nonetheless.

I will follow up if anyone is interested.

I'm pretty new to mixing and this is the first thing I've made that I really can't stop vaping. Tastes ok with a shake and cape but the FA white peach seems to take a couple days to really develope it's full flavor.

Probably been done before, but I took the snake blood theme and ran with it

Bloody Pear

  • Pear (FA) 4%

  • Bavarian Cream (TFA) 5%

  • Citric Acid 1 drop per 2 ml

You have my upvote.

You may also try jackfruit instead of dragon fruit. Seems tasty as well.

Edit: I like your percentages better than most snake clones I've seen. Might not be quite as true to original but seems less over powering. Gonna need to try this without the additional fruit, see how it runs out. Thanks for the recipe!

Key Lime Pie

  • Key Lime (TFA) @ 10%
  • Graham Cracker Clear (TFA) @ 1.5%
  • Sweet Cream (TFA) @ 2%
  • Sour (FW) @ 2 drops per 5 ml

Revisited this recipe. Used to use Vanilla Swirl instead of Sweet Cream and lowered the Graham Cracker dramatically. This flavor is more Key Lime than Pie but is very delicious. I think next time I'll up the percentage of Sweet Cream but all in all a damn good vape.

You can swap the % of coconut out for extra % of the rest or just some extra VC. the coconut is mild, but I have two vials of milkstone, one with coconut and one without depending on the mix.

by ThreeLZover 10 years ago

None of these are new recipes really, just tweaks I've made on ones I've found. I've been enjoying a few so I thought I'd share, if you have any suggestions for improvements I'm open to criticism. Didn't make any names up obviously. I'm using pg based nic and flavors, mostly I aim for straight 50/50 blends since I'm using a nautilus and kfl+ mainly and I get the best wicking that way.

Straw peach coco:

Strawberry FW: 8%.
Juicy peach TFA: 7%.
Coconut TFA: 3%.
EM: 4 Drops per 10ml

Watermelon straw rasp:

Watermelon TFA: 10%.
Strawberry FW: 5%.
Rasp TFA: 5%.
EM: 4 drops per 10ml

Straw coco dragon:

Strawberry FW: 7.5%.
Coconut TFA: 5%.
Dragonfruit TFA: 2.5%.
EM 4 drops per 10ml

So those are my 3 favorites so far, as I'm sure you can tell I'm loving the strawberry coconut combo. I'm going to whip up some tigers blood soon, if anyone has a good recipe for it I'd love to see it, or anything else you think I might like.

Strawberry Splooge

  • Sweet Strawberry (Cap) 5%
  • French Vanilla Creme (TFA) 3%
  • Marshmallow (FA) 3%

Reminds me a lot of Paramount Vapor's Strawberry Clouds, or Bombies' Agent P without the nuttiness to it. I'm really digging it -- make take over Grandma's C*nt as my ADV for a while.

1 points

by HexCoilsover 10 years ago

Does the French vanilla cream offer anything unique over French vanilla and a cream other than measuring once?

1 points

by CiDirkonaover 10 years ago

No idea. :)

Edit: I have both, they're pretty dang close.

Edit again: I tried both back to back, and the french vanilla cream is slightly better. They only had rench vanilla non-cream in 4oz from heartland, so I went with that. I'll let you know once I make a new batch. Also, i got TFA Marshmallow instead of FA marshmallow, so I'll let you know if that combo is just as good as well.

Edit hat trick: smelling both the TFA and FA marshmallow back to back, i like the smell of the TFA better, but all I've used so far is the FA, which I have no complaints about.

1 points

by HexCoilsover 10 years ago

Awesome. Thanks for all the edits.

I too bought from heartland, and was just thinking of putting in a supplemental order direct from tfa to get some that HV doesn't carry. I took the French vanilla cream out of my cart though since I already have fv and so many creams. But maybe I'll get it anyway. Again, thanks much.

1 points

by CiDirkonaover 10 years ago

Wanted to follow back up on this. I made my standard Splooge lineup with TFA French Vanilla instead of TFA French Vanilla Cream, and it completely lost all of it's charm. I also used TFA Marshmallow instead of FA marshmallow (hoping they were close enough as well, since FA marshmallow is nutty expensive.) Slightly sweeter, but no creaminess whatsoever.

I've placed an order for TFA French Vanilla Cream directly through TFA and I'll update once I make a batch with TFA French Vanilla Cream and TFA Marshmallow.

Gotta give you credit, man, that is easily the longest list of ingredients I've EVER seen for a juice, and I've been doing this for a while.

Yeah it's kind of insane how this recipe went. I kept adding / tweaking until I finally ended up at what seems like an insane amount of flavors.

I am a heavy VG vaper as you can see from the recipes; everything is VG aside from the flavorings (VG based nic @ 3mg).

Skittles! - dot1ml link

  • Skittles (FW) @ 8%
  • Sweet Cream (CAP) @ 4%
  • Bavarian Cream (TFA) @ 4%

Tastes like skittles, no joke. I didn't get much of the creaminess I was aiming for, maybe I'll bump the cream flavorings.

Sugar Cookies in Milk - dot1ml link

  • Sugar Cookie (CAP) @ 8%
  • Sweet Cream (CAP) @ 6%
  • Vanilla Custard (CAP) @ 4%

This was interesting. It's VERY creamy.

Syrupy Cinnamon Graham Crackers -dot1ml link

  • Strawberries & Cream (CAP) @ 7%
  • Graham Cracker (CAP) @ 3%
  • Vanilla Custard (CAP) @ 3%
  • Waffle (CAP) @ 1%

I don't know how I taste cinnamon, must be from the waffle/graham cracker. Sadly it's not my flavor, I'll need to tweak it to my liking.

Just wanted to add that I was very afraid my juices would taste chemical-ly, but was pleased to find the flavors were very true! Looks like I'll be investing in more unique flavors to play around with.

Please, any feedback would be great if you do decide to try it!

Newport Cancer Stick

  • Virginia Tobacco (Hanseng) 10%
  • Tobacco Absolute - Virginia (Inawera) 10 drops per 10 ml
  • Menthol (TFA) 1 drop per 10ml

Pretty simple recipe, can't say I'm a fan since I don't really miss the taste of tobacco. Made this one for a co-worker new to vaping, and the taste is pretty close from what i recall.
