So I mixed a berry blend as a taster that I thought was great, so I mixed a 30ml bottle. I let it sit about a week and a half then filled my tank. The vape is excellent. Lovely blend of the different berries. Not too sweet. Love it! Until the aftertaste. It's kinda perfume-ish. Bitter and slightly metallic.
New wick. Good, but not new coil. Same wattage.
Any suggestions?
Your problem is too much flavor. In particular the blackberry. That is all.
^agreed. Recently made a blueberry cream that used blackberry to bring out the blueberry and make it fuller and at 2% it overpowered the blueberry
The recipe would be helpful.
Again, I'm sorry I was an idiot when I first posted this. My tester batch was 5ml 30/70 3mg. Everything identical to the original.
All flavors are Flavor West
Blueberry 5% Blackberry 5% Raspberry 5% Strawberry 5% Bavarian Cream 2%
Any ideas?
Have you tried the flavors individually? I get an odd metallic taste from a few flavors that some other people seem to not pick up, might just be you. There's an ice cream flavor I tried that just tastes like pennies to me, no matter the concentration.
the problem is, it is very difficult to take minute measurements when you are mixing 1-5 ml testers, hell even 10 ml is hard to mix twice with the same results when you are using 5 flavors. I am just assuming since you said test batch you meant something small like that. I would test batch a recipe with that many flavors around 30 mls or even more.
Yeah, could be me. I'm measuring my flavors with a tuberculin syringe and a 20g needle. I might possibly have liberated it from work. It's gotta be spot on for measuring since its used for medication. But then, my eyeballs could need calibration too.
I also make what I call wild berry.
Blueberry 8% Raspberry 8% Strawberry 12% Tart and sour 0.1% Ice 0.5% (optional)
No funny taste, so maybe it's the blackberry. Or maybe the ice masks it. I'll just taste each one individually and see if I can find it.
Thanks for the suggestions.
