Question on the different ratios of VG/PG?
submitted almost 11 years ago by NicoDS

So what are the benefits (and cons) of the different ratios of VG and PG?

30/70 40/60 50/50 100 VG

It'll depend on whether you prefer a tank or if you rebuild. PG is thinner than VG so max VG (or even 30 PG/70 VG) will likely clog a tank. PG is also a better flavor carrier and provides more "throat hit" than VG, while VG provides better "clouds". So if you're a cloud chasing dripper who doesn't care about flavors, max VG. If you're using a non-rebuildable tank (cartos, etc ) up the PG. Usual ratio is 30/70 PG heavy to 50/50 for tanks and 70/30 VG heavy to max VG for drippers. Also, if you want VG heavy but want to up the flavor content I believe there are recipe calculators out there that can adjust.

I started on 60vg 40pg but have changed to 50/50 blends. I find it's enough pg for flavour and I get a pleasing vapour.

Can you people at least google your fucking questions before posting them?

I did google it but didn't find the answers I was looking for, plus I knew someone in this sub would explain it in a excellent way (which someone did). Sorry if I upset you. :)

Good, it's okay. Glad you found what you need.. We need a sticky or a link in the sidebar for stuff like this though.
