I would advise writing down all mixtures as you are testing them. I was never able to remember the good ones, only the fucking terrible ones.

Have you tried vaping a small amount of the glycerin by itself? If so- Record what flavor notes it has by itself, any lingering flavors, and account for it when you mix. It should taste only slightly sweet.
