I forgot to add citric acid to my nude nicotine order and I really don't want to spend more money on shipping. Thanks for your help.
Edit: found it guys! Thanks for all of your help.
If you're looking for that fruity sourish taste, I'd recommend using a few drops of pure lemon or lime juice as an alternative to citric acid.
Get a powder (the food additive number is E330) - You dissolve it in PG or VG, use 5-15% powder. The most common is 10%. One part powder, nine parts PG.
I cant find where that "E330" number is but some of the brands are "vitamin c crystals ascorbic acid" "truly natural vitamin c 100% actual food" and "ester-c 100% vegan" and "daily project c" do any of those sound familiar?
It's funny, it's been bothering me for weeks whether or not I have found "citric acid". In Germany it's called Zitronensäure but given how easily you can get it in every store here, and how in U.S. it's like a special hunt, it kept me wondering. E330 sure is the right landmark. :)
How do you measure 5-15%?
By weight? By moles? By volume?
I found 4oz for 4.99 at a local health food store. Look for one of those in your area. Dont buy the kind they have at walmart, it has silica in it.
Okay, I'm heading to sprouts. Any particular kind to look out for? And how do I mix it?
My pharmacy sells citric acid. I had to ask the pharmacists, and he was happy to order 4 ounces for 6$ for me.
Don't use the canning kind, it has anti chalking agents added to it.
What pharmacy? Like Cvs or Walgreens?
People's drug mart, a small chain of pharmacies in canada.
I suggest you find a small, people oriented pharmacy, mom and pop type pharmacies. They usually really go out of their way to help you.
Remember, you're not asking for illegal narcotics or watched products. You're going in there and you're expecting them to perform the service they are paid for. Heck, I told my pharmacist what I needed it for, after he told me I can get the pickling stuff at the supermarket. You're making cosmetics and perfume products, and you need safe ingredients.
Shoppers drug mart, London drugs, people's drug mart, all were willing to order some in for me, so I went with the one that was cheapest and quickest.
Do you have a pharmacy that you frequently go to? I am well know at my pharmacy and I'm on first name basis with a lot of the guys behind the counter. At first they refused to sell me propylene glycol, after I explained why I needed it they ordered some in for me.
