Advice on first mix
submitted almost 11 years ago by sunnydubz

I guess technically this is my first mix. I'm looking for some percentages that you guys would recommend for an "Icy Orange" flavored juice.

I have some Callipo (KH) and both Koolada (TFA) and Menthol (FA).

I'd like the orange to be more prominent, but with a cool breeze to the taste.

What flavoring out of the 2 above mentioned would you guys choose to go along with the Calippo (KH)?

And what percentage would you recommend i aim for?

I've just reduced my nic levels down from 6 to 3mg and I'm messing around just now with the PG/VG content to determine what's triggering my asthma / coughing after vaping 50/50 the last few days at 6mg on my first mech (switched from an MVP).

Thanks!

A quick Google shows the recommended percentage for Calippo is around 10%, so I'd personally try mixing at 10% Calippo, 1-2% FA menthol or koolada.

I've not actually used Koolada, though as far as I'm aware it's pretty similar in effect to FA menthol... You shouldn't need both.

Try mixing up a small batch of that and see how it develops. And let me know how it goes, that Calippo stuff sounds delicious!

Koolada gives you that nice cool feel without the taste of menthol. I use it all the time in my fruits and berries. Try like /u/GeoH2102 said and try 10% Calippo and use either the koolada or menthol at 1-2% depending on if you want menthol or not.

50/50 on a mech would hurt.

Honestly man just get to mixing. Experimenting is half the fun. Personally I don't like going with published recipes. It takes away from the research and development.

I agree with rastal3x here. The main thing ive noticed on this sub is a lot of people with cold feet because they're afraid theyll add too much too little flavor or wont steep it long enough or theyll add too much pg/vg ect ect. Ive been mixing for almost three years now and the number one lesson ive learned is just to say fuck it, im going to put x y and z together and see if it works. Is it always good? No. Does it turn out better than expected sometimes? Absolutely! And to be honest, even my worst mixes tasted better than a cigg, and that's what counts at the end of the day. .
