My wife is doing a science lesson where she's having the kids make ice cream in a bag (http://science.howstuffworks.com/innovation/edible-innovations/ice-cream3.htm) and she's using seaweed to bind it up (not included in that recipe but it was awesome! tasted like green tea vanilla ice cream.)
Anyway, it got me thinking about adding some of my mixes or flavorings to it to make crazy flavored ice creams, i mean at a bare minimum I'm gonna try it with peanut butter.
Any of you guys use your diy flavorings in actual foods, and if so do you have any cool recipes?
Not exactly food, but my wife and I have discovered that a 65VG/35PG ratio with around 5-10% flavoring makes for great lube.
see you on /r/vapers_gonewild sometime?
You tried it with menthol yet?
My flavours have baking suggestions on them Imgur
Only thing I have made so far is watermelon flavored hard candies, because LA's watermelon has food coloring, so I declined to use it for e-liquid. Great watermelon flavor, shame about the color. About 8ml for 1 lb of sugar in the candies.
Also, similar to /u/davidk48, I use FA peppermint or FW caramel candy in coffee. The FW caramel candy is spectacular in coffee. The peppermint lends more of an aromatic quality than a gustatory one.
I use flavorings in coffee when I'm out of creamer and it works great. That's actually what Capella's products were intended for (I think), adding flavor to beverages. I've never tried ice cream but that sounds like a great idea.
Also Capella's web site has a short list of user submitted recipes for food and drinks here. The yogurt sounds really interesting and I'll probably try that in the future.
My dad makes yogurts from cultures and I was thinking about doing the same with those. Thanks for the link!
