I just wanted to thank everyone so far for commenting on the link, and for taking a look at the website. I've been building sites for a while now, and have always wanted to build something that people actually used. I've built sites in the music space and programming space, websites that were definitely unique/new, but while those sites have enjoyed some success, it wasn't really substantial. Nothing really "took off", like I hoped it would.

The websites I build are sort of like my babies, as cheesy as that might sound. But when I get an idea for a site, it's all I think about. From the moment I get the inspiration, until it's completed. For the longest time, I've wanted to build something that would allow me to have a real relationship with a community. A group of people who were interested in the site, and would say "Yes, this is sweet. Or no, we want to see x,y,z". I will admit I'm somewhat ego-driven when it comes to this, in that I enjoy getting feedback from people. It's hard to always know that the work you do is good, without some response from the outside world. And if you do it for a job, you're most often completely disconnected from the actual users of the sites you build.

I intend to keep on with more features. As mentioned, I'm working on Android/iPhone apps for the calculator, and should have them done soon. Any advice or tips going forward, I'm all ears!

Cheers, Blake

Is there an option for using weight instead of drops?

It doesn't currently. I need to look up how that is calculated.

Check /u/botboy141's mixing by weight guide here. He has a breakdown of the different weights for the ingredients. :-) I follow it when I mix stuff.

+1 Looks good at first glance, but unusable for me without weight functionality. Right now the only calculator I know of that does this is a Windows-only program, so I have to open Windows as a virtual machine on my Mac just to get at the recipes. PITA. A weight-capable calculator that works on tablets (better yet smartphones) would be great.

I use http://e-liquid-recipes.com/ and it has a weight function. Much easier than spinning up a VM and works pretty well on tablets, although not perfect.

Thanks! Going forward, I want to build into the site the ability to save recipes, but I've been working hard on the iPhone/Android apps recently. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!

Save recipies is nice, but most importantly save "Our" default setting, i.e. Drtops per ML, Nic Base, Amount to be mixed, etc. Doing good, i like it. Keep up the good work.

I've wanted to get into DIY juice for a while, but it always confused me with the ratios and volume and whatnot. Once I have the funds to start this site is going to be extremely handy!

It's pretty easy if you use one of the calculators out there. They take care of the math (which isn't complicated) - you just put in your source ingredients, and a target mix, and it tells you whether it's doable, and the levels you need of each ingredient. You basically just need a syringe or dropper, and a glass to mix the ingredients in.
