Kinda working on one on and off for a bit now and I feel like I keep getting further and further away. I could use some help if anyone is interested. I have two "these are kinda close" recipes given to me. Unfortunately I don't have the ability to check them out right now, so if anyone wants to do a little mixing and let me know:
Here is one given to me from ECF. It supposedly tastes close but requires some steeping. Here is one from VU that is more complicated. Steeping also recommended.
Some other notes I've come across so far:
-
Supposedly it contains four creams and "all natural strawberry extract" (doubt it).
-
Has anyone tried TFA Dairy/Milk? Got some in recently and want to try it but I've heard its awful. It smells interesting and like a potential ingredient.
-
My nose fuckin' sucks. Here are some ingredients that I've sniff tested that maybe sort of kind of smell close:
>CAP Sweet Strawberry > >TFA Strawberry Ripe > >TFA Strawberries and Cream > >TFA Vanilla Swirl > >TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream > >FA Meringue > >TFA Bavarian Cream > >TFA Sweet Cream > >Lots of sucralose > >TFA Custard (maybe?)
I've tried a couple of my own recipes but nothing really comes close. I've tried mixes of the three strawberries above and some of the creams but they all seem bland and not quite creamy enough. I found OSDIYS Strawberry Milk pretty interesting. It tastes like a much less "realized" Unicorn Milk. I tried adding some sweetener but it didn't help much.
So yeah, obviously I'm a bit stuck. I'd love any suggestions, ideas, thoughts, etc to help me pick up steam on this. Just throw them below.
EDIT: Maybe a description would help, duh. Most people say it tastes like Strawberry Nesquik. It is very yummy. It comes a fairly light and faint yellow and after steeping turns to a darker amber color. The nose is just straight up heavy strawberries and cream.
EDIT 2: For those that haven't had it, here is the JuiceDB page. Might be helpful.
I wrote down "Unicorn Milk" in my mixing book today, thought I got it from this thread which is why I came back to comment... cant see it below, so now I have no idea where I got it from. Credit to the author, wherever you are!
- 10% TFA Strawberry Ripe
- 5% TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust)
- 3% TFA Bav Cream
- 3% TFA Sweet Cream
- 2% TFA Vanilla Custard
That is from the ECF thread here.
how did this turn out?
Just finished a 200mL batch using this recipe, and I have some U.M. (its my favorite juice) on hand to compare with. I gotta say, even 'green' its pretty damn close. I am dripping it into a Trident, and I have some U.M. in an Orchid rebuildable tank to compare them hit to hit... I'm glad I made 200mL, I will definitely be making more of it. The U.M. tastes slightly more 'full', but only a direct comparison would make that obvious. Great aftertaste of strawberry-graham cracker-cream.
I think in a week or so when the flavors have had time to diffuse and steep it going to be really, really good.
That sounds awesome! Let me know how you find it after steeping.
Also I have a question regarding the sweet cream. I'm trying to order the clone from customejuice.ca but they don't have sweet cream as one of the options. Just wondering if a mix of whipped cream (1.5-2%) and sweetener (0.5%) would be an appropriate substitute. Cheers!
Thanks for the reply, always looking for different takes on strawberry creams/custards. I just sampled a clone of mothers milk that I let age over a month and it was awesome. Now I'll have to try this. I've only had one bottle of unicorn milk, and while it was good I cut it 1:1 with VG and it was still super flavorful. Seeing as this recipe is at 23% flavor it is definitely on the high side, so that might explain it.
Try out The Mortician's Fluid a new line made in North Carolina that's very similar to Unicorn Milk but I think it taste better in my book. Iam the only one to say that because iam hard to please unicorn milk was all I vaped.....couldn't find anything I liked that came close to it. The Mortician's Fluid new line coming out iam expecting it too be a big hit over the top not to mention the cool name and picture on bottle. Hit me up if your interested in purchasing a sample of it and I will go get you a bottle and you tell me what you think. I really think the taste has unicorn milk beat......
Cap RF sweet strawberry might be a good investment.
Edit: I'll admit, I didn't really read the whole post. Whoops.
Is the RF version really that different? As far as I've read it just has a lower alcohol content to allow international shipping.
Yknow, I'm gonna say something that will make me sound a little stupid, but here goes... I haven't used them. I was told that the RF works better by my friend who's been making juice for a few years and owns a B&M that in all his experiments to clone unicorn milk, the RF came closest, and after tasting his mixes, I agreed.
Thanks for the recipes. I just used a modified version of Ripe strawberry 10% cheesecake graham cracker one 5% sweet cream 3% Bavarian cream 3% vanilla custard 2% all TFA Substituted vanilla bean ice cream for vanilla custard. Holy nuts this stuff is good!!
Tried this out for my first attempt at making juice and just from sampling prior to steeping I'm super impressed. I used the recipe Glitchlol posted. Even prior to steeping I should mention I have a actual bottle of unicorn milk and the taste is VERY close. It is however missing just a little something I can't put my finger on but I'm pretty convinced that will only come with aging. If your wanting to try it, DO IT.. I'm very pleased with it.
10% TFA Strawberry Ripe 5% TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust) 3% TFA Bav Cream 3% TFA Sweet Cream 2% TFA Vanilla Custard
Old thread, but I was just messing around earlier... I smelled something familiar when I first tasted unicorn milk... wasn't sure what it was though.
I make two daily vapes, a white-chocolate custard and a white-chocolate strawberry(ripe)
That smell I think I smelt was white chocolate and strawberry ripe (although it could actaully be strawberry & cream.
I know it isn't 100% but I wanna say I'm close. I don't have a sweet cream which I think is what I am missing.
- 6-7% Cap custard (V1! - Diacetyl ftw -- v2 tastes funky.)
- 5% TFA White Chocolate
- 4.5-5% TFA Strawberry (Ripe)
- 1% TFA Strawberry
- 2% TFA Blueberry Extra - (Trust me.)
- 0.8% Ethyl Maltol
- 1 Drop Super Sweet - 15ml
Made at 80% VG, vaped 30 mins after.
Their is this new juice made in North Carolina by a real licensed Mortician that is better than unicorn milk to me and has a taste real similar to Unicorn Milk. If anyone is interested hit me up. It's called The Mortician's Fluid. He is supposed to be coming out with a line of different juices. I bought a bottle at our local store man it beats unicorn milk in my book and unicorn milk is all I have been vapi ng since discovering it. Some mention white gremlin not even close to unicorn milk. I never taught I would find anything better until I vaped The Mortician's Fluid.....OMG love it I know once it gets out it will become a big success and favorite to many. Hit me up I will get you a bottle from our local place and try it for yourself.....
I think you would be better off looking for a mother's milk clone. Unicorn milk is a clone of it. They taste very similar.
I wouldn't call Unicorn Milk a Mother's Milk clone.
They are both strawberry cream/custard...outside of that they are very different in taste/feel.
Agreed. They are very different both in taste and feel. Unicorn Milk isn't nearly as heavy on the custard, for starters.
FA Fresh Cream & Ethyl Maltol - I feel like Unicorn Milk definitely has these, with Fresh cream as one of the primary ingredients? With TFA Sweet cream maybe? I also suspect red touch strawberry and vienna cream.
Red Touch really is the only strawberry I've tried that seems similar.
Hey, I don't know if you already made this, but I have a strawberry flavoring that is SPOT ON the strawberry in this. Its from candy flavor.com. its just the plain strawberry. I could even send you some if you would send me a bottle if you successfully clone it :)
