TIP: For those with syringes that don't reach half way down the bottle/small bore needles

For months I've been doing something stupid.

I'll buy 500ml/1litre bottles of PG/VG. I'd take the needle off to suck up the VG but when it gets past a certain point I had to put it back on to reach the liquid, which is slow as fuck due to thickness.

Then once it reaches past the needle I was fucked. I'd pour it into jugs and things.

Just realised something obvious - take the plunger out of your 10ml/20ml syringe and pour the bottle directly into the syringe. Then you can stick the plunger back in and fire it out. This may be obvious to some but I've just realised what an idiot I've been.

Similarly: when I started keeping my nic solution in the freezer, I soon realized why people use 100mg base. If I need 5mL of nic, I can basically watch Dune before I get it out of the bottle.

Heh, I keep mine in the freezer, too... but keep some out in a 30ml dropper bottle to use.

A cleaner way that works for me is to cut the bulb of a disposable pipette disposable and put it on the end of the syringe like this; works beautifully.

On a related note if you have one of the needle tipped flavouring bottles, instead of removing the tip and trying to syringe out your flavouring amount you can instead turn the syringe upside down (with no needle attached) and pull the plunger to the required level. Then simply insert the bottle needle tip into the end of the syringe and fill.

Because it won't account for the juice in the needle. Try pulling some water through it and you'll see some air between the rubber thingy and the liquid, and that ammount of liquid will be in the needle

But when you depress the syringe you won't be clearing the needle (on the first press).

But when you're measuring it into the syringe it doesn't fill it right up to the top. When you put the plunger in you're trapping in a gap of air which pushes it all through.

Similar to what I do. I have big supply bottles and working bottles with squeeze tips.

Same here. I have yet to find a faster, cleaner method than using a bottle with a drip tip, and a scale.

I made a big ass 236ml bottle . One 10ml syringe and a bunch of smaller ones. I wont be making anymore big bottles for a while. I needed this before I made that. Damn

Protip: buy scale, mix by weight. Transfer all flavors into dropper bottles and go back to using the syringes for your junk habit. You're welcome.

I transfer my VG, PG, and large batch juices into ball jars. The mouth is wide enough that none of my needles ever have problems getting in.

I put my PG and VG into baby bottles and use syringes with no needles for drawing it out. Just tilt the bottle to get at the last drops.

I just pour it into a smaller container like an ounce glass or small measuring cup and syringe it out from there. It can't be any easier.

When I tried this it was difficult to get it into the syringe after a certain point. It also left me with waste inside the glass.
