First time flavoring must-buys?

So I'm about to dive into making my own juice and plan on ordering the majority of what I need from wizard labs. I've read a bunch of recipes posted on here and they all sound good, but I was wondering if there's any select 5 or 6 flavors that I could make multiple different juices with. I know certain flavors from particular vendors are preferable, so if you were to pick 6 flavors to start with, what would they be?

On a side note, do the menthol crystals give the juice a flavor like extreme ice has, that chilling feeling? Just out of curiosity.

I find pear to be one of the best things to have not by it's self but to enhance other flavors. And tfa honeydew is delicious.

Honestly, all of the flavors that go into my Phoney Pearry are my favs and probably why that's been my adv for a year + now. Pear, Honeydew, Apricot, Strawberry... so good.

Juicy Peach, Watermelon, Capella Sweet Strawberry, Blueberry Extra and Koolada/Menthol. These are what I can think of right now (out of the house).

Start simple, mix single flavor, and find out the % that you enjoy. Remember to take lots of notes! And buy double the amount of VG compared to PG; you'll go through it fast.

Juicey peach is great with strawberry if I had some koolada I would be golden

I make a lot of creamy juice. Capellas Vanilla custard and TPA's bavarian cream is a must have.

this. vanillas are the blank canvas i paint on. some are VERY good just by themselves. also Nude Nicotine is a must have. worth every penny and then some. keep your nicotine in the fridge / freezer and your flavors in a dark cupboard where you steep your juice. nicotine will break down slowly in room temp, flavors will not. also butterscotch is a great sweetener. much better than marshmellow most people use IMO

The only sweetener I use is Ethyl Maltol and usually very very sparingly. The less sweetener added into a mix the better. Sweeteners like sucralose and stevia shorten the lifespan of a wick/coil build drastically. I'm mostly into dessert and custard type flavors. Most of the time those blends don't need any help with additional sweetness. Fruity flavors IMO are harder to master where sweet/tart and pH matter more.

If you're getting into dessert/baked goods type flavors, might want to get a small vial of acetyl pyrazine. A drop or two in a 30ml mix gives you that baked, bready note.

if you want a simple single flavor mix, TFA "Hawaiian Drink" is rather good.

What is that used for? Like what flavor will that bring out in juice?

It's a vanilla caramel tobacco base. Kinda cereal-y from what i've heard. Never tried an RY4, though.

A semi-sweet caramel sort of tobacco flavor. I use it with fruit and/or savory flavors, or even stand alone. Probably one of the most popular flavors around and TFA has the best.

Love this flavor. Even by its self, its pretty tasty.

....until I knocked it over one day, leaving me with only 5ml. Oh well, such is life
