So... I think I figured out where my local B&M gets their flavorings.
submitted almost 11 years ago by CiDirkona

My local B&M has a fairly extensive selection of PG-free and organic / natural flavorings, for stuff I didn't see much of elsewhere (such as Apricot, PG-free.) Their rootbeer is absolutely amazing and sounds nothing like the reports of TFA, FW, etc rootbeers and their poo-esque result. Then I noticed that their site also mentions that the juices are "vegan, kosher, and gluten-free," which seemed like an odd thing to mention for an e-juice, but unique enough that I could research it. A few googlings later, I stumble across this: http://www.newportflavours.com/root-beer-coffee-and-tea-flavoring.html

I called up Newport and asked if they had a list of specific e-juice capable flavorings, and they said they were actually asking I.T. to remove the e-juice mention from the description as they're not ready to move into that market due to legal concerns given the lack of regulation and research. She DID say, however, that all of the listings of "Flavorings for Coffee" were in a VG base, and didn't contain any arabic gum or anything like that.

Has anyone else tried Newport flavorings?

Gluten Free.. because missing a sale to an idiot is still a missed sale.

yeah, because gluten is the new MSG.
even if it never had it in the first place, some wanker in marketing found out a new way to con stupid people.

To be fair, there are people with gluten sensitivity (celiac disease) that's VERY debilitating. The majority of the people out there avoiding gluten are likely noticing the benefit of not stuffing themselves with carbs.

So, you are telling me that my shampoo might have MSG in it?!

This is apparently Bill Sabo's (CEO of Natures Flavors) first company. I wonder what the difference is between the two brands. I know many of Natures flavors have gum arabic. Maybe that's the difference. Cool find though!

Here is yet another one of his companies: http://www.seelecttea.com/

Wow, even the pages are near identical format.

...and more expensive for the exact same product...? http://www.seelecttea.com/root-beer-coffee-and-tea-flavoring-system-kosher-vegan-gluten-free.html

Nice find! Some of the flavors even have "spec sheets", i.e. Almond Cola...which sounds tasty. Says MSDS is available upon request.

A wild fizz appears! I bow to your bombies replication skills! It's the post actually what made me want to start trying the DIY actually. Btw, Nude Nicotine sells pre-disolved citric acid in pg at 10%. I think your 1/4 tsp in 10mL should be about 12%, so I think it might be close enough for a newb like myself.

Yep, and Nude is a great, great company putting out impeccable products. It's certainly cheaper to do it yourself if you can find clean CA powder, but when you order from Nude to try Jake's awesome flavors and nic, you might as well pick some up.

Yeah, planning on it. Trying to limit how many places I have to buy from. From everything I've read on here, Nude Nic is the best and reasonably priced. I'm planning on vg, nic, sample pack of flavors and ca from nude, tfa and la flavors from bull city and wizard, and pipettes, bottles and a scale from amazon.
