Stirrer Bar

Mini Neodymium Magnet x2

Cpu Fan + 12v Plug

Screwed into LUC v4 box

Works great with a total cost of around $5 and spare parts. Spins at 3000 rpm. You can buy some lab grade ones here.

Screw lab grade, that looks like it does fine. Is there a tutorial on building it somewhere? I never even thought about something like this.

Sure just youtube "DIY Magnetic Stirrer", looks like theres a few demo vids and some tutorials using computer fans, cdrom motors and other things. This one seems to be a little more professionally done.

Also curious about this, and how long do you let it stir?

Is that the magnetic flux of the charger being used to stir your liquids..... while charging your batts.... cause if it is... thats fucking genius

No, its not, but that would be pretty funny.

Im guessing it's the Efset Luc v4 box with a computer fan inside. A magnet is placed on the fan and then a metal stir rod is put inside the glass jar.

This project is sitting on my bench, nice work! Thinking of making an Acrylic enclosure to show just how much of a ripoff a 12v motor with a pot and a switch for 50-60 bucks is.

Neat, maybe I'll make one, I haven't had a stirrer in almost a year. I don't have any reason to have one, but it would be neat to play with.
