This is what it looked like Sunday morning haha. It's amazing the difference a lil but of organization can make. I'm going to make 2 kanthal spoll holder/dispensers on the left with some of the leftover dowels and wood. The top rack (made w 3 dowels) is going to be glued in place, and all the other dowels are removable with different hole slots to change the depth. Still need to do Some sanding and wood filling also. Haven't decided yet if I want to stain/clear coat it
I have that same desk...weird, I bought it like a dozen years ago...
Edit: Looks great by the way, better than the one I whipped up in an hour and screwed to my wall...
Haha this desk is also about a dozen years old. I think I got it at office max, and way back when I was in highschool. Thnx, I bought the wood with just an idea of what I wanted it to look like. I then took about an hr measuring and designing, 10 min cutting, then about another 2 hrs pre drilling, then gluing and piecing everything together. I came up with the top rack after I realized I had 3 extra dowels and extra space up top, and it's actually my favorite part about the whole thing. It just holds those 10ml so well haha
Nice, but you made one mistake (one I've made in the past as well) - you only left enough for your current flavor selection. Last time I built new flavoring holders I did double the need for my then-current stock, and I'm glad I did because the extra space is now 75% full.
Actually, I have more flavors than this. It's still not done yet, I just got too excited and wanted to see what it looked like full-ish. I am going to be making 2 more racks, one around the same size and style for more flavors, and then a more narrow rack in a half crescent shape (for center section) for my extracts, vg, and pg. it was a lotta fun building it, can't wait to build the other 2 (other than the paying for materials haha)

Not going to secure any of them, except the ones that make up that top rack. There are some holes to interchange the dowels and make the depths different whenever I please. The top dowels are just secured with tape for the moment, but I will be gluing them in once I sand everything down and finalize it, possibly stain it

My eyes aren't as bad as I thought. Spent a year over there, still have a pile of those notes kicking around myself. I like the shelf too, I've just got everything on a pantry shelf and it drives me nuts I can't see where/what everything is. Nice work!
