Not water soluble doesn't mean it isn't PG-soluble, and even if it isn't, there's no real harm in having a tiny bit of PGA in your liquid to carry flavors.

Essential oils are not lipids. Inhalation of the former in very minor amounts is extremely unlikely to cause any harm, it's the latter that's associated with lipid pneumonia.

Also, essential oils or lack of water solubility merit an automatic red but triglycerides in your flavoring only merit a yellow and Bavarian Cream and Cheesecake (which contain diketones) gets a green light?

Cool thanks for that info. Will keep it in mind. Sounds like I might be ok. Wizard labs labels it as artificial flavor and benzyl alcohol. Does that mean it has no PG and is alcohol based?

Might try horehound instead. Or wintergreen. Looking for that mentholLIKE thing that isn't menthol.

You're referring to the sassafras you mentioned above? Should be fine, I don't see a safety/health risk here unless you're vaping it undiluted and into your eyes. :P

interesting. I now have to change my root beer recipe as apparently I am killing myself with LA sassafras :(

anyone used the TFA? can compare it to LA??

Other than it being non water soluable it doesn't say anything else bad, it might only require regular shaking... jot sure tough.

Also, you sure TFA has a sassafrass? I just looked on their site, they have 2 root beers, but I couldnt find sassafrass.

I assumed. I has seen some recipes with TFA sassafras maybe they were mislabeled.

At 1 or 2 percent it blends nicely. 5-10 percent and it's so cloudy you cannot see through a glass bottle of it.

Will have to research it a bit more I guess

I've used the orange oil. It will separate into its own layer. A few weeks of daily shaking will eventually homogenize (?) it permanently.

This color coded guide provided by the guys over at bestvaporflavors.com, will help you find which flavored safe for vaping, which ones aren't, and even tell you what chemicals are in them. I stumbled upon this while looking for my next flavor order and thought I might share it with every one here. The best part is, is lorann flavoring is used for baking and cooking, so it's available at most grocery stressful as Wal-Mart, Fred Meyer and Safeway!
