I don't want to have a reaction.
I don't know about Uncle Shifty's Homemade Funkjuice, but as far as the TPA/LA/CAP style concentrated flavors go, you'll almost certainly be fine. even natural flavors are distilled to the point where allergenic proteins won't show up in the liquid at all. Don't sue me over that, though.
Maybe for some, but I know a few people that still have issues with banana or strawberry flavor due to allergies.
i think it all works different truthfully. the fruits mostly dont have protein necessarily so what part of those fruits are people normally allergic to is the question. in peanuts i know it is to the protein which would make sense there would be no protein in the concentrate. fruit prolly different story, if anyone knows what part of it they are allergic to feel free to chime in
I wondered this too, I'm allergic to most nuts. I've vaped Inawera's Pina Colada and Pink Spot's Jamaican me crazy and been fine. I also contacted Pink Spot just yesterday and got this response:
"We sometimes get customers saying they are allergic to nuts and certain fruits and they usually don’t have an issue. Our coconut extract is artificial so you should not have an issue. Hope this helps!"
So I'd say you'll be fine, but if you want to be cautious, contact the juice maker and start puffing slowly and see how you feel.
I have multiple food allergies myself & have thought about this myself. I think it really depends how serious your allergy is & for me my symptoms were in the gut (nausea for example) so I tried them...so far I havent had any symptoms that would led me to think I was having an allergic reaction as thou I actually ate the food so I kept using those flavors in my recipes...didnt realize how much I missed tasting the flavors too! However,I may add few months after I started vaping I developed acne. Not sure if its because of vaping itself, because my body is trying to get rid of the nasties or if its a symptom from vaping the flavor I was allergic to. Since it didnt bother my gut I keep using them hoping the acne will clear up on my jaw line... but if I were you, I'd keep your epipen handy just in case thou (I do).
