TFA pumpkin
submitted almost 11 years ago by VapeQueen214

Certain TFA flavors just have this horrible black pepper taste to them, vanilla custard, white chocolate, and now I'm starting to think the pumpkin does too. It smells like pumpkin guts and pepper out of the bottle, I've tried everything from 2%-12% and I cant get it to resemble anything like a pumpkin flavor. Am I the only one that is severely disappointed by this flavor, and are there any better ones out there?

Cap Apricot smells this way to me, the one I have at least. I have TFA pumpkin and it smells like pumpkin. I hope it's okay, was gonna try it with horchata smooth.
e: I have LA Pumpkin and it's far too spiced to use as a Pumpkin

TFA pumpkin is just pumpkin,. no spice... its like if you cut up a pumpkin like watermelon and ate that. I don't know about you, but I don't find plain old pumpkin to taste very good on its own... you gotta add some other stuff to make it taste better.

What goes into a pumpkin pie?

  • pumpkin
  • sugar
  • eggs
  • evaporated milk
  • spices (clove, ginger, cinnamon)

then there is the crust, and the whip topping!

so you got some flavors to add there to make it not taste like shit. because honestly, pumpkin on its own is not a good taste.

I have tried and was kinda successful with :

  • pumpkin
  • pumpkin spice
  • Bavarian cream (eggs, sugar, milk)
  • EM (Sweet)

I am thinking about doing it again but adding some whip cream to it.

Good Luck!

What are you looking to make? If you're going for a pumpkin spice latte you use about 2% tfa pumpkin then 5% tfa holiday spice. Mess around with Bavarian cream and cappuccino until you get the coffee flavor where you like it.

I don't get pepper from any of my tfa flavors. Is it coming from your nicotine maybe?

I have tried pumpkin multiple times and it isn't any good on its own IMO. I use pumpkin spice, but it is SOO strong that it needs to be diluted. I mix it 1ml with 9ml of PG and then still cant use it above 4% or it will take over all other flavors. In my case I am in the process of making pumpkin pie and Pumpkin Spice is just right for it

its your nic. if you dont store it properly in cold temps it will break down and taste like pepper. what nic are you using ? switch to Nude. i love TFA pumpkin pie. blend it with van. custard and graham crust for perfection. also some of the TFA flavors sold by wizard labs are somehow contaminated with a pepper taste. ive experienced this multiple times and now order all TFA flavors direct from them in larger quantity. the only thing WL is good for is cheap syringes and other lab supplies

interesting, I totally do not find this the case with WL.. I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

your pumpkin pie, how much graham cracker are you using?

I made a batch a few weeks ago, 9% pumpkin, 1% pumpkin spice, 2% Bavarian cream, 4% graham cracker CLEAR, and now all I really taste in it is the graham cracker. going to have to redo this one, with more pumpkin spice and less graham cracker.

Yeah, My Wizard labs nic is just like the sample i got from NudeN. NN does package it better though.

its really not though.. NN can be stored at room temp for about 2-3 months before it noticeably oxidizes and has a SLIGHT taste change but all others ive used must be frozen or will taste like strong pepper after a month or two. Nude is super pure and makes any flavor taste better. ive made/sold over three gallons of juice for reference

equal parts graham, vanilla, and pumpkin at 30% for high VG proabably 20% for high Pg. long steep time but worth it (about a week) ive had contaminated batches of TFA vanilla custard and cupcake from WL with a pepper taste and a few others so i stopped ordering flavor from them. i get it by the liter now anyway so its much cheaper from the source

Nah I store it in a fridge and I use either nude or heartland vapes and I cant tell a difference in them, theyre both equally clean tasting. I'm not a noob I know how to mix properly lol this flavor is just so horrible on my dripper no matter how many flavors I add to it.

The recipe I made last (there were about 12 different variations) was:

5% Pumpkin TFA
.5% Pumpkin pie spice CA
2% Graham cracker clear TFA
2% Bavarian cream TFA
2% Fresh cream FA

I was going for a pumpkin pie on this one, I also made pumpkin cookies with cream cheese icing, a pumpkin spice latte, and a pumpkin custard. All of them had that horrible peppery taste I get from their vanilla custard, but a little bit stronger. At 2% the pumpkin taste like pumpkin water with freshly cracked pepper on the exhale. It's not my nicotine I use nude and I keep it in the refrigerator. I use a dripper, this flavor was tested on a tugboat sitting at .6 ohms (which is high ohm for me) even my friends who usually cant pick up flavors very well said it tasted like pepper. I finally sat down and made several bottles and after leaving the pumpkin out the pepper taste was gone. So either I got a bad bottle or my taste buds are getting really picky.
