I'm new in DIY juice. Quick question about inhale flavour

I have a 100% VG base with 9mg/ml nicotine, I have made my first batch of 5ml with some aroma and i'm happy about the vape flavour, however I can only taste the aroma when I exhale, when I inhale I can only taste the glycerine (I have vaped only glycerine to confirm this). Does this have to do because I didn't steep or because it's 100% VG and needs PG?

UPDATE: It was the PG, just got my PG and made a 70/30 pg/vg batch with the same flavor percentage. I can finally taste the inhale and it's not 'bland' like it was before. I'm very happy now, thanks everyone!

Hard to say. From personal experience I feel like a lot of my own 100% VG juices I've made seem to be missing an inhale flavor.

Not saying thats why. Could be a lot of things.

You mean the aroma's? (i'm sorry i'm very new to this DIY ejuice stuff)

if so, to be honest I have no clue. This is what I bought for aroma

There is no mentioning of PG based

And this is my base, 100% VG

And it's in german, but there is a language selection in the top right.

Ok. So your concentrates aka aromas if the are in a vg based carrier, to me, they are muted. They don't have as prominent of a flavor profile and, to me, aren't worth the time. I make max vg liquid sometime as close as 98%. My flavors are are pg based which is the better flavor carrier. I get insane taste on inhale and a different savory taste on exhale and a lingering taste on the tongue that begs for another hit.

Some flavors you can taste on exhale, some you can taste on inhale, and some stick to your mouth. You need to find the magic combination of all three of these things.

I tried 4 aroma's I bought and all have the same problem: only exhale tastes good, inhale tastes exactly like pure glycerine, but thanks for the suggestion I will get some more aroma's along with a pg base just to test stuff out.

Most flavors are hard to taste on the inhale. Cinnamon and mint are some that I can think of that you can taste on the inhale usually.

100% VG? You didn't put water/vodka/PGA in it? You can put 10-20% dilutant in the VG - That might help with flavor also...

tried water and still gives my a full glycerine taste on inhale, exhale is still okay.

solubility in VG is lackluster compared to PG, hence the loss of flavor on inhale. On exhale, there is just more 'time' for flavor to sit on tastebuds, rather than the SUPER QUICK 0.25-0.5sec inhale, with no outside air to invigorate.

A higher PG juice will accomplish what you're after. A small amount of water might get a better flavor solubility but nothing like PG content :)
