With all of the recipes out there, it can be a little difficult to sift through all of them and find the very best recipes. As such, I wanted to ask everyone, what's your ADV recipe? Have you got any blends you feel are absolutely perfect? I want to try out everyone's very favorite recipes.
Try to limit your responses to the one or two recipes you feel you've really nailed. I don't want this to just be a rehash of all the recipe threads ever. :-P
My latest ADVs have been (All TPA flavors)
Peach Oil
5% Bavarian Cream
1% Coconut Extra
5% Juicy Peach
4% Pear
Strawberry Chzck
3.5% Bavarian Cream
1% Coconut Extra
2% Marshmallow
4.5% Vanilla Custard
1.5% Whipped Cream
2.5% Strawberry
.67% Sour
Both need steeping, Peach Oil about 2-3 days, and the Strawberry takes nearly 2 weeks to get perfect, but it has a beautiful tangy cheesecakey flavor, with a nice strawberry hint, not too much, the cheesecake is completely forefront.
I use a custom VG base,
94% VG
4% Distilled
1% Saline
1% Vodka
It really gives a nice boost to the flavor and doesnt dry out your throat as much.
The sour really reacts with the creams and coconut to taste very tangy cream cheesy, its better than any premade cheesecake flavor i've tried (crustless of course) but it doesnt work with everything. If you add raspberry, it just tastes like raspberries with fresh whipped cream (also delicious), peach kinda works, caramel is decent.
To get things started, I'll start with my best recipe and my ADV, in that order. They've been posted in other threads, but since these are my besties, I'll post it here too. :-)
Borvan
- 1% TFA Kentucky Bourbon
- 0.5% TFA Bavarian Cream
- 2% LA Marshmallow (TFA can be used too, but adjust percentage)
- 0.8% CAP Double Chocolate (dark)
- 0.5% TFA French Vanilla
- 0.5% TFA Sweet Cream
- 2% TFA Peanut Butter
Melon Folly
- 5% TFA Cantaloupe
- 3% TFA Honeydew
- 2% TFA Watermelon
- 2% LA Marshmallow (again, TFA can be subbed here)
I'm really loving Borvan, especially after a steep. I found a 2 week old bottle and the bourbon really started to come out, but the chocolate and peanut butter were still present and delicious.
I've never used LA Marshmellow, whats the conversion rate to TFA in your opinion?
It's honestly about equal, I would guess. TFA might be a smidgeon stronger, but I haven't used much TFA marshmallow, so I am not really sure.

Clone Seduce Juice Snake Oil
Bavarian Cream (TFA) 4% Coconut (TFA) 4% Pear (TFA) 9% Marshmellow (TFA) 2%
Clone of Honey Pearry Pear (TFA) 6% Strawberry (TFA) 5% Honeydew (TFA) 3% Apricot (TFA) 3%
Both need a good long steep. Best after 2 weeks, but I usually just crock pot it for about 4 hours.
ive never tried the actuall snake oil. the version I make is without the marshmellow. how much would you say that affects the flavors?
17% Capellas Vanilla Custard
0.5% TFA Cotton Candy
70%VG / 30% PG
Let cure for SIX WEEKS :p Perfect by itself but I usually make like a half liter and fill 30ml bottles up when its ready, and tweak each one to taste. +0.5% Capellas cheesecake and 1% TFA Graham Cracker clear for example. +3% Capellas French Vanilla. Or +1% FlavourArt Vienna Cream and 1.5% Flavorwest Yellow Cake.. whatever I feel like.
I started smoking cigarettes years ago, and I started because I was smoking cloves as a bouncer at a goth club. Since I started vaping I haven't had a cigarette, but I accidentally replicated my nostalgic craving for a clove with this:
4% clove oil 3% black honey tobacco 1% Horchata 2% black tea
Which clove oil is this? Some of the oil based flavorings you need to be a tiny bit careful with. Is it water soluble?
What brand are the other flavors? TFA?
All other flavors are TFA The clove is nature's something or other clove extract. Clove oil is a mild analgesic, but other than that it's really only dangerous if you have an allergy or if you take A LOT; far more than you ingest in a 4% ADV. Also, don't use it if you're a hemophiliac or diabetic.
Right now I like 10% tfa cola with 4% water but I would like to make it better somehow would lemon juice work for a Pepsi twist flavor because tfa lemon doesn't accent nicely for me in the mix
