I've been looking at starting to DIY my own juices and i've noticed a couple of vendors that sell base liquids at my prefered nic level. Now I initially planned on buying the highest level nic I could get at 100% VG and then buy some 0 nic PG to vary my ratios.
But if i'm right it would be simpler to just buy both at my nic level and then just mix in my concentrates?
I understand it will be slightly under my nic level once I add the concentrate but i'm happy with that as i'm a very low nic user anyway.
Just wanting to double check before I jump in!
The most expensive ingredient with DIY is the flavor. If you buy your juice at your preferred nic level all you need is flavor if desired. Correct about being slightly under because of any added flavor.
Awesome, just wanted to double check.
I know most recommend getting highest nic level and then dilute with plain PG/VG but just thought buying both at my nic level would make mixing simpler to start with.
I went about half way. I get my nic @48 mg in a 70/30 solution. I get my base VG/PG premixed at 70/30 and I target at 6 mg 60+/40- final as the flavors are in PG solution. When I mix I put in 1/8 total volume of nic in, add my flavors and then just top off with the base VG/PG.
which bases were you looking at?
These at 6mg/ml

yeah, that works -- but if you really want to cut costs, go with a higher mg nic base.
