wow, tried no flavor today and it was ok
submitted about 11 years ago by joekerr37

Over a year of DIY and I never bothered to try ejuice with no flavor. So I mixed some up and its actually ok. I find it's actually kind of sweet. I wouldn't say it has a flavor, but there is a sweetness to it.

That's all my flavors end up being, which is ok.

I thought I contaminated my nude nic base because it had a bit of a sweet flavor. Doesnt taste like anything if vaped but if you lick a small drop it's a bit sweet.

Might give this a go myself, flavouring has become the most expensive part of vaping for me

I've been doing that for a couple years now. Buying a years supply of liquid for $50 is pretty great.

I keep a bottle of "plain" flavour close by, because my experiments so far have been rather below par, or average. It takes me 2 weeks to get more nicotine in, so the solution is simple. Water that shit down, and get my nic fix. No waste.

The ultimate vaper's tongue remedy.

Vaper's tongue?

Overloading your taste buds, causing you to not be able to taste your favorite juice, making juices taste different, etc.

Vaping unflavored or straight menthol is how I get rid of it. Come to think of it, I haven't had vaper's tongue in awhile, might be because I don't jam my juice full of flavor like I did when I first quit smoking.

Shit. So that's what happened.

I think it helps to switch flavors though.

VG and PG both have a natural sweet flavor from what I understand, so that makes sense. Did you have nic in it?

yep. the nic gave it a bit of a peppery taste, but very very mildly.

The other odd thing is that the throat hit (or more precisely the tongue tingle) was more than when I have flavors in there (even though nic concentration was the same).

I wonder if it just felt that way because no other flavors were on your palette. Interesting either way.

I cant do it even though i really want too. My nick either tastes like shrimp or pepper.

I tried vaping pure VG, it's not bad. Cheap too!

Not bad right?? Unflavored w/ Nic is my ADV and the flavored stuff is to relax with at home. I also made a batch of unflavored 0 Nic for an hour or so before bed. I also use the unflavored to run most flavors out of a wick when switching flavors.

VG is used as a sweetener by diabetics. It's sweet on its own - not terribly tasty, but certainly not awful. I use it for coffee occasionally since I usually don't usually have sugar around.
