Flavour Art Recipes

Adding some new content here for FA Recipes. Noticed that the sidebar link contains virtually none. Pulling all of these from Vaping Underground as it seems the majority of DiY'ers there use FA.

##From 'HeadInClouds' @ Vaping Underground:

"Vapingunderground.com is my home base and recipe "repository". I post and maintain my completed recipes in the recipe section -- including detailed descriptions, suggested methods for best success, substitute ingredients, variations, and sometimes CHANGES or additions. If you have comments or questions on my recipes, I will not see them if they are posted here, but I will respond on vapingunderground. If there are any notes, additions, or changes made after Sept 23, 2014 - you will not know unless you go to MY posts on the recipes forum at vapingunderground. -- HIC"

I am including a couple of recipes that contain ingredients from vendors other than FA as well although they are in scarce amounts.

Please check the links (names of the juices) for more details, comments and notes. HIC especially includes excellent notes on his juices, how he developed that flavor and possible flavor substitutions.

This will be a work in progress for some time to get it all linked over here but such is life, at least I have something to do while watching TV...

Appreciate the disclaimer HIC. All of these recipes I cRoss posted are linked back to your OP on VU as well.

I will update Orange Tic Tacs to reflect your name as well (names were copied directly from the thread titles on VU).

Edit: Realized how I missed Orange Tic Tacs. Multiple recipes with different names inside the thread. My bad! Now Corrected.

Also adjusted the initial OP to include the above.

Thanks Botboy. Great info here.

I've made the "What I wanted Hype to Taste Like" recipe and it's good. Pretty simple profile but if peach is up your alley this is one to try. That honey peach is a nice twist as well.

Welcome. Have to admit that is one that is on my list to make. I have a 10ml of every FA flavor queued in for an order to place within the next two weeks. I've only dabbled with about a dozen of them. Looking forward to getting my hands dirty.

I've been basically doing the same. I have a couple dozen 10ml bottles of FA and after trying others recipes using primarily FA I've been pretty impressed. I just ordered a bunch more based on some of the recipes that sounded good to me out of those threads. I'm hoping by making some of those I'll get a better feeling for the flavors to start working on my own creations using them.

1 points

by Botboy141about 11 years ago

Exactly the same thing here. Hoping to wean myself off TFA in future creations but really need to get a better feel for FA first. Want to add some INW fruits as well.

Jungle Flavors.

Can get them from ECX or directly from the vendor. Only places I've seen them offered.

You posted in the recommended dosages RY4 as 20-25%??? You sure??

1 points

by Botboy141about 11 years ago

Absolutely not. Probably 5% is more accurate. That was a copy/paste. I'll delete it for now and look for a better recommendation.

1 points

by Phorgasmicabout 11 years ago

I think 5% is nice, mix mine with this as well.

Unrelated question: What do you think about stepping up percentages when going 'full' VG?

0 points

by Botboy141about 11 years ago

Sometimes it's warranted sometimes not. I don't typically but I also prefer my flavors a bit on the lighter side.

Unfortunately, for testing purposes lately, I've been mixing everything @ 40/60 again.

How does FA custard compare to Capellas

1 points

by captaincannibalabout 11 years ago

Thanks for compiling this, I've been wondering why the FA recipes list was empty.

For anyone who wants to try out any of these recipes but isn't sure they want to invest in a lot of FA flavors yet - give some of HIC's recipes a try. They are all amazing, I've made a few and they have all become ADVs. His 'Heart of the Andes' recipe is especially amazing if you like those table mints that are kinda chalky. So good

1 points

by Botboy141about 11 years ago

Only caution I give with his recipes is make sure you look at the notes. A lot of them are not designed for high wattage vaping (anything with Cocoa especially).

Outside of that they are absolutely amazing!

Great contribution!

Besides lemon Sicily and Fuji apple, what are your top 5 FA flavorings?

1 points

by Botboy141about 11 years ago

Actually Fuji isn't the end all be all of apples for me, but I still haven't found an apple I like so maybe I'm just too picky when it comes to a good apple.

  • Lemon Sicily definitely.
  • Catalan Cream is an awesome versatile cream with added spices!
  • Cookie is excellent for a plain cookie flavor.
  • Jamaican Rum - best liquor flavor out there impo
  • Citrus Mix

Those are probably some of my favorites, not saying they are the most common flavors that I use from FA, but definitely some of my favorites.

Vienna Cream and Fresh Cream are excellent as well. I'm super anxious to try their honey flavor here really soon. Have a couple ideas that might work after diluting it to a 10% solution.

1 points

by Hodorhohodorabout 11 years ago

What percentages do you usually use lemon sicily at? I've been messing around with a lemon cheesecake and have been using it at 6%, but after reading through a lot of these recipes I think that may be way too high.

1 points

by Botboy141about 11 years ago

That is exceptionally high. I'm usually between 0.5% and 2%. Going for a lemon cheesecake flavor, you might be able to get all the way up to 4% but above that I'd be careful.

Should also note that if you use some FA Custard in that recipe, it has a lemon/citrus undertone to it that should help to bolster the lemon sicily as well.

This is perfect. I have a mostly FA order that should be in by this weekend. Thanks for compiling this!

Thanks for posting these, I had already started to dig myself into a TFA/Cap rabbit hole. I suppose it was naive to assume there wouldn't be amazing recipes for FA. The few flavors of theirs I've used, I'm quite impressed with their ability to nail it down.
