How do all of you get rid of your empty nicotine bottles? I don't want to just throw them away.

I wash them multiple times then pitch them.

Edit: When I say wash multiple times, I usually rinse thoroughly and then throw them in the dishwasher (non-heated dry) to finish them off.

I transfer my nic to glass bottles, which I reuse. The plastic bottles that the nic comes in get rinsed and then tossed in the trash.

Garbage. I don't rinse as that water goes to treatment facility, not sure if they can treat that. Not worried about it in landfill.

Botboy has it right not much else you need to do with them.

I wasn't sure if that's enough. I have several gallon jugs of 100mg sitting around. I was thinking of taking them to a bio hazard facility. Is that that over kill?

yes just rinse them out and toss them and it will be just fine.

Rinse and put into the recycle bin. I don't go through that much though. I'm only on my third bottle of nicotine. And usually I've pretty much drained it before I decide there isn't any more in the bottle.

Rinse and toss. Nicotine is a naturally occurring chemical that is found in many plants including tomatoes, potatoes, and egg plant. It is already in the water system, and the treatment plants know how to handle it. It's not like flushing birth control down the toilet.

How about full nicotine bottles? Have ~250ml of a not so good batch of 60mg still sitting around that I probably won't use, don't feel like shipping so looking for the nearest drain. Would assume if I can pour drano down there that a little nic won't hurt anything...

I wouldn't give it a second thought about pouring it down the drain. Your sewer/septic tank contains so much water that the 60mg nic will probably become 0.0000006mg nicotine by the time it mixes in. Then it's mixed with even more water at the treatment plant, diluting it further. It's not like you are dumping barrels of 100% nicotine freebase into a tiny pond.

Rinse thoroughly. For larger quantities, soak into vermiculite and dispose at your local HAZMAT disposal center :)
