I'm looking to get started, and I swear I saw a link around here somewhere for a starter kit a few weeks ago, but for the life of me I can't find it now. So, where can I find a starter kit that'll get me the most bang for my buck?
The nude starter kit is really good. Lots of juice, flavor options, and notes on mixing procedure and nic levels for $30. http://www.nudenicotine.com/product/average-nudist-diy/
Check out the beginners guide linked in the sidebar. The nude ones are all linked there. I have to say, I'm very disappointed in starter kits overall.
Why is that? I'm also interested in beginning the diy journey.
Haven't seen one outside of Nude that provides enough basic materials. IE bottles, syringes, PG/VG, Nic.
They have the best base kit, unfortunately, while their flavors are very good, they are not "standard" flavors which makes them worthless for creating other peoples recipes which is how most new DIY'ers get their start.
The ones I've seen that include more selections of flavors are severely lacking in other areas.
My favorite think about DIY starter kits: "And one pair of gloves!" Yes, thanks, that'll do.
Gloves I'm not worried about. I just want to be able to get a few flavorings and some base liquid to start out with so I can learn the ropes of mixing.
The gloves are for the presumably high concentration nicotine base that will be cut with flavors and plain vg/pg. Nicotine will absorb through the skin for a not fun time.
I just last week ordered the Nude Nicotine "Average Nudist" DIY Starter kit.
Came with PG/VG/36mg Nicotine Base. You pick 3 of their flavors, they threw in a 4th (ooples and banonoos for me). It also comes with plastic 3 graduated cylinders. 2 Large syringes, 2 small syreges, 4 blunt tip needles. Several pairs of gloves, and safety glasses.
I was very impressed by it. All well packaged and sealed.
My first batch is a Strawberry Banana Menthol. It's a hair to strong on the menthol and to weak on the Strawberry Banana. Unfortunately, I mixed up 50ML of the stuff because I just blindly followed their calc sheet. Hopefully I can save it tonight when I get off work.
Next time, I will mix up flavorless base and just tinker with 20-25ML at a time instead of potentially wasting 50ML on a bad mix.
Now, most of NudeNics flavors are complex, so I went over to Wizard Labs today to order a few other simple flavors that I may like to tinker with.
