I want to make some juice in bulk and add different nicotine levels to small bottles later on after steeping. How would I make the juice so that I can make small botttles with different nic levels. I know I can make it without adding nicotine to it but how would I compensate for different levels of nicotine? Thanks in advance....links would be appreciated.
First of all nic is a pretty integral part of the curing process.
Are you planning on mixing them all to the same PG/VG ratio?
Without more info about what exactly you're trying to accomplish I'd recommend mixing your flavoring and 3mg/ml nic along with just enough pg/vg to ensure you can add enough nic to get to your highest desired nic concentration. Then when you're ready add the remaining PG/VG/nic concentrate to achieve your desired ratio.
I guess this is what I'm trying to do. Lets say I'm making a pear liquid. 50/50 pg/vg blend. I want to make 100ml of it and dispense it to my friends in 15ml bottles. Some at 6mg nic and some at 12mg nic levels. Its not all in one shot but over the course of a few weeks. I'm trying to figure out how to mix everything but without nicotine so when a buddy calls and says I need 15ml of pear at 6mg of nic, I can add my base (the flavoring, pg, and vg) to the bottle and then the called for nicotine for 6mg.....
I hope that makes more sense. Its hard to explain but I'm trying to have a flavor on deck so all i have to do is add nicotine to the base.
If your recipe actually needs a decently long steep then I'd go for mixing an almost finished base with nic that you add VG/PG/Nic to. If you're just looking to make mixing easier premix a flavoring base, mix by weight and use bottles for PG/VG/Nic that you can pour directly into the bottle.

Just make a bottle of flavoring only, label it ert1. You know that it's supposed to be 15% of the liquid volume, so add that as an ingredient in your calculator and make a new recipe using this as your only flavor - ert1 at 15%. That will let you then add whatever nic level you want and tell you however much you need to add of pg and vg (or dw, saline, pga, etc..) to equal your bottle size
This is how I go about it. The downside is you can't expedite the curing process but you can't do that without adding the nic base in anyways.
The simplest thing that comes to mind is making a dilute flavor base - say at 50-80% of the mix.
You're going to have to dilute lower nic levels so they match the volume of the highest nic level you intend to do. So say 18mg is your highest nic level, with 100mg base, you could mix your base to 82% of the final volume, and then add pg/vg and nic to get anywhere between 0mg and 18mg.
Trying to wrap my head around this... I understand the 82 percentage leaving room for up to 18 mg. So if I wanted to do 12mg, I would do the nic, the base and then add 50/50 pg/vg to compensate for the remaining percent? (I do 50/50 blends)
This. I pre-mix flavoring bases to make custom ratio's easier to mix, but for actually getting "steeping" started you'd start with the lowest nic strength you're looking for and add what you need to get your desired outcome.
If you're using recipe calculator from the sidebar you can add your premixed base as an ingredient set all it's qualities and it will make the math much easier for mixing on the fly.
I mix 120ml @ 3mg. I add nic when requested up to 24mg. I have never had a complaint even though the end flavor ratio is different at each strength. I have a very hard time telling any difference in taste, but then again anything over 10mg gives me an instant head rush.
