It has come to my attention that some B&Ms and vendors are copying recipes off of here and selling it for profit. Although some people may not have issue with this, personally I do. Considering the amount of time and money I've personally put into this for the community just for someone else to make profit off it is uneasy for me.
I understand not everyone feels this way and I'll be more than happy to talk with anyone via PM from now on about DIY. But when my local B&M started making this exact recipe, that was the final nail in the coffin.
Until a time I can come to terms with this I'm taking a sabbatical from this subreddit and deleting all recipes.
This is a fantastic recipe. I am going to mix a 10ml test batch asa the rest of the needed ingredients get here. One question though, I am seeing CAP Sweet Tang sold out all over the place, (I did find it on Cap's actual site though) and I already have a pretty decent sweet tangerine flavor in house. Have you tried using any other tangerine flavor? The one I have is from Vapor World in OKC. Just curious if you have had drastically different results with different flavor brands?
Thanks for the work on this though, that Cereal Killa is like crack. It's a HUGE seller in the North East, would love to work this clone for personal, and develop a Cereal Killa KILLER for retail. Thanks again, great work /u/jackster1232002!
I'm glad a vendor has commented on here and this may be the last clone I will ever do as a result. Although I have no problem with fellow vape enthusiasts and DIYers alike using my recipe, I do have a huge problem with businesses and vendors alike taking my recipe and making a profit.
This is not the first time this has happened, in fact most recently I've found out a store is using exactly my 'nana clone recipe. Which pisses me off. Specifically since they are profiting off my hardwork.
Please don't be pissed off, I think you may have misunderstood me. I said I was going to to try this recipe for PERSONAL use. I would never repackage a cloned juice and sell it as my own. Never. 9 South developed a fantastic juice and it is one of the most popular in the country, I AM NOT interested in ripping them off. Some would, but I'm not into that. I did say that I would like to mix up a Cereal Killa KILLER, and by that I mean develop and mix MY OWN juice that could give 9 South a run for their money. Not just simply copy what they've already succeeded at and repackage it for cheaper. Again, not my thing.
My juice stands on their own, but I do mess around with some recipes that I find either challenging or unique for my own personal juice collection. This would be one of them, because I've been combining a bunch of different flavors trying to do this myself, and I have been WAY off! I just want to see if I can do it, NOT profit off of it. That's kinda grimy.
I see SO MANY people here that appreciate these cloned or reverse engineered recipes, it would suck if you stopped doing them. I can understand your frustration when people DO profit from this process, but it seems like the straight up DIYers here are really benefitting from your work, probably more so than the douches just trying to profit off of someone elses hard work. It would be a shame to see that go away. I hope this explains my side a little better. Reading my original post, I can see where I should have worded things a little differently. Sorry for the confusion, and getting you upset, but I assure you I am NOT looking to market off of 9 South's cool product, and your hard work.
Man I love this flavor I get one locally called fruity loops. Me and a buddy just started getting into DIY... Unfourtunatly I see this recipie has been pulled down. If someone has it saved I would greatly appreciate if you could PM me with the recipe. Thanks in advance.
And FYI I am not a shop...I am one man with 100+ bottles of juice that I dont vape and tired of spending 22 bucks a bottle on the stuff I do vape.
Mod here. I'm ok with this since you do go into more detail than most posters. I'd just request that you also submit it to the currrent clone thread as well.
Nice one mate! just mixed this up minus the Bergamot and replaced the lemon with Sicily Lemon (FA) @ 1%, smells great and very cereal esq. Will let you know how it vapes after a short steep.
Just wondering: Whats up with this "1 drop per ml" thing. 1 drop / ml is like 3% right? depending on your drops per ml of course (for me its 30). Wouldn't it be better / easier / more accurate to just put a percentage, even with tiny amounts like 0.1%?
acetyl pyrazine (5% PG solution) - 1 drop per ml would be over 3% for me which seems really high, I went for 1% and will adjust from there.
Thanks again for all your work on this, I have been really enjoying your recent nana cream clone too!
Nice work again!
What's the next project? Lol
open to suggestions.
You nailed nana cream. There had been plenty of threads looking for a blackout city clone. Maybe give that a whirl?
I understand this completely, just a shame these guys had to ruin it for the rest of us. Thanks for all your time to develop this recipes, as a result I have some new ADV's. If only we could have a "members only" area to avoid this.
I am replying to you publicly so everyone can see this because I am getting a hoard of PMs the last 3 days.
I will not add anyone that has never contributed anything, have never posted in DIY before, has never tried DIY before, and especially people who created a new account just to get added (you know who you are....).
I'll talk with you via PM now.
