Haven't had a chance to let this age yet but it's delicious freshly mixed. Let me know what you all think!
Please keep recipe posts to the monthly recipe thread as per the note you see when submitting a new thread. Please and thank you.
Shall we move all posts to a type of monthly thread? That seems highly unnecessary. I saw nothing wrong with this post. The noob monthly threads I can understand. But limiting recipes to just a single thread? What other content is there? This is a DIY sub. If we can't make a post about something we've been working on and are excited about it there is nothing wrong with making a post about it. I view the monthly recipe thread as a kind of archive of recipes. This is really getting out of hand. Just my $.02.
I agree with this. Most of my recipes wouldn't have gotten to the point they're at without specific discussion threads about the recipes. No one wants to discuss a work in progress recipe on the monthly thread. If you want to restrict useless posts, then restrict the "my workspace" posts or the "im a noob and have questions" posts to weekly/daily/monthly threads. Recipe collaboration is the only reason I joined this sub.
tl;dr - it's asinine to restrict recipe posts to a single thread.
I can't seem to find this months monthly recipe thread?
Sorry about that. I was excited about this one and I posted from mobile so I must have missed the note (small screens, y'know). How about I just say this one needs some work? I'm relatively new to this so I really would like some feedback and the monthly recipe thread is a graveyard, especially when the stickied post position is taken by a mod post.
Im actually in the process of making a lemon cake as well! My recipe looks the same except I swapped Capellas cake batter with 2% FW yellow cake. For some reason the cake batter is extremely pepper-y to me. I dont remember it being like that so Im not sure if my taste buds have changed or if I got a bad bottle. Its worse than TFA's pepper custard now. But this looks like a good recipe!
