NudeNicotine vs WizardLabs nic, a non-scientific, totally subjective comparison.

So, like many of us, I made my first DIY order from Wizlabs and just got everything from them. First order was 36mg/ml nic in VG, second was 48mg/ml in VG. I mixed, happily with those until about 3 weeks ago. Then I received my sample from Nude, and I was surprised.

I'd seen a large number of people saying that Wizlabs nicotine tasted "peppery" and I just never tasted it. It was fine, it was all I was used to. There was nothing in the flavor that I associated with pepper in any way. I really had no idea what anyone was talking about.

After I got my NudeNic sample, I mixed up a batch of my ADV and quick-steeped it in some warm water, then tossed it in my vape bag and took it to work the next day. I topped up my tank, and it tasted totally the same, maybe the flavors were coming through a smidge clearer, but it was basically the same. Later that day, my aerotank coil got gunked up to the point that I needed to pull it for a vodka bath and dry burn, so I swapped to a fresh coil, dumped the tank (it just never tastes good after the gunked coil blackness gets in there), and rinsed it out with near boiling water. Topped up the tank with the Nude mix, vaped happily for a few more days until that bottle ran out (I vape about 5ml a day). Topped back up with the wizlabs mix. THEN I noticed it.

The wizlabs mix, that had been awesome just a few days before, tasted wrong. More importanty, it FELT wrong in my mouth. It's not that it's peppery, really. The closest analouge I can think of is that feeling I got when I was stressed out and chain smoked like 5 cigs back to back, or was puffing on a cigar. Not peppery, but tingly and unpleasant. It was all I had, so... Vape On, I guess.

A few days after that, I got a sample of my mix from Vapecrafter (it's one of the Crafts of the Month on their site, right now!) made with Nude nic. All of a sudden, tingly feeling gone again.

TLDR: Wizlabs nic isn't peppery, but it does produce a strong, tingly sensation. Nude Nicotine does not produce this same sensation unless I'm chain vaping. I'm buying all my Nicotine from NudeNicotine from now on.

Yup. Totally noticed the same thing. Once I tried nude nic for the first time, I totally noticed it. I don't really see any need to use anything other than Nude at this point.

Stupid question: if we get the 15ml of 100mg nic, is it safe to say you'd be able to make quite a bit if 6mg juices? I've never DIY'd before with nic so I have no idea if that would be a lot or not. If I'm doing the math correctly, you'd be able to do 30 10ml bottles at 5mg nicotine, yes?

Nude Nicotine has 60mg NIC base in a 50/50 VG/PG blend that works nicely for 3mg/6mg batches. Much safer to handle also for small quantity.

15 ml @ 100mg/ml = 1500 mg total nicotine.

1500 mg divided into 6 mg/ml = 250 ml end product.

So, yes, it's fair to say you could make quite a bit.

When we decided to release our own Drip Line - Mile High Drip, we did quite a bit of research on NIC vendors, and landed on Nude Nicotine.

Cleanest NIC we have experienced.
Jake Rocks! He personally interacts with you on every bulk order, and always keeps us informed of price changes in VG/PG/NIC. (We also purchase all of our VG/PG through NN)
We are also using some of NN's natural extract flavorings in our blends, and will continue to test NN's extracts in future blends.

Can't say enough good things about NN! Cost may be a bit more than other competitors, but I've always agreed with the vaping cliche "Good Juice ain't cheap, and Cheap Juice ain't good" :)

Love NN. Personally I do get a slight peppery tastes from Wiz. But NN has none. Shit is perfect.

Just for additional science was there:

any difference in nic strength of juice?
any difference in nic strength of nic base?
any significant difference in age of nic bases? (more than a month)
any significant difference in age of juice? (steep time)
any difference in filler brand or ratio? (Essential Depot VG/PG in one and Nude Nic VG/PG in the other?)

Final juice was identical strength.

any difference in nic strength of nic base?

Nude base was 100mg in VG. Wizlabs was 48 mg in VG.

any significant difference in age of nic bases? (more than a month)

My wizlabs nic was more than a month old at that point, but was still crystal clear. I do what I can to slow oxidation.

any significant difference in age of juice? (steep time)

The wizlabs batch had been steeping a couple weeks. Room temp in the dark. Glass bottle.

any difference in filler brand or ratio? (Essential Depot VG/PG in one and Nude Nic VG/PG in the other?)

Every other variable was the same.

Very similar story here. I noticed my latest wizard labs nic tasting very peppery and ordered immediately from nude nic. Reflecting back, I had mixed some zero mg for myself, then going back to test wife's 12mg, I couldn't stand it. She didn't complain, she'd never had the zero mg and not known how "bad" it was. I have yet to mix with the nudenicotine, but I'm guessing I just don't like the taste of nicotine.
