OMG. So, got the idea for this from the juice I just made. I seriously almost killed myself vaping it. Dripped it on a beautiful newly built coil and wick, took one hit, and then realized how horribly wrong it was. Unfortunately I had just drenched my wick with it, figured maybe I could vape it out instead of swapping my beautiful wick. No such luck, one more drag and had to pull my wick. The blend is below:
- 6% Coconut Extra (TFA)
- 4% Vanilla Cupcake (TFA)
- 1% Dulce de Leche (TFA)
- 5% Vanilla Swirl (TFA)
- 2% Vanilla Custard (CAP)
Way overdid the coconut, not that I haven't used it before and didn't know how strong it was, I really did want a coconut punch out of this thing but omg is that bad.

Menthol Banana... Never again.
Menthol "hmm I LOVE menthol lets try a few crystals, aww what the heck, a few more then"
It tasted like I had sucked the top off Mt Everest then Father Christmas and My Dentist had a wild bukkake session with me.
I figured that a proper root beer flavor was really just a nicely aged vanilla, so I tried;
10% home brewed coffee extract
6% home brewed vanilla extract
4% LA root beer
I was trying to see if I could get an aged vanilla coffee going on, but it tasted like burnt head gasket with a blend of greasy asphalt. Such disappointment.
I love these threads because it involves other people suffering so I don't have to
Thinking about it, I still have the bottle. I made it about 5 or 6 months ago. I'll have to dig it out and give it a try now it's had a good steeping.
I'm sure it can't get any worse..... right?
Speaking of root beer, I got a random sample with my last VTNW order, and Matt threw in a flavor called Iceman. It's the most true root beer flavor I've ever tried. Not trying to shill anything or whatever, but it's really perfect.
I know that he mostly uses TFA flavors, so it could be cloneable, but damn I don't know if I have the hours to refine it to that level.
Holy crap...6% Coconut Extra is insanity mode. Yuck.
Worst for me was:
8% FW Gummy
5% Cap Cola
2% LA Pineapple
Was trying to make fizzy cola gummies, turned out men's aftershave.
Sounds wonderfully terrible. Yeah IDK WTF I was thinking with 6% coconut extra...Last time I did 3% it completely overpowered 12% Blueberry and 5% Pineapple.
Was it the gummy part? I tried at first 10% Gummy and 5% Pineapple, then 8% Gummy and 4% Pineapple and the gummy felt like a blast of perfume chemicals straight to the sinuses
Yes, the Gummy was horrendous at leas to my palate. I've seen so many people here say it's the best gummy flavor, recommending 10%. I usually scale down % recommendations I read online because I feel like most folks overflavor. The 8% was a best guess, and I hadn't done my own testing on FW Gummy since I grabbed it specifically for the fizzy cola recipe.
It really tasted like aftershave.
I've made plenty of bad juices, many that are failures not because they're unvapeable but because they're not good enough for me.
FW Gummy remains one of only two flavors I've deemed unvapeable. The other is LA Bubble Gum.
One of the first mixes I made was what I actually labeled as 'Grape flavored Fritos dipped in Sour Milk.'
I don't remember the % but Sweet Cream, Dulce de Leche, Grape Candy, Bavarian Cream, and maybe another flavor. I've used all the flavors in a few other fruit flavors, but Grape Candy is to be used sparingly.
I gave it to a friend and he gave it back the next week. I let it steep for another 2 weeks and the Frito flavor settled down, but it was still disgusting.
Anything with tfa cheesecake
I bought a vial after reading how everyone hated it. I will make it work damnit.
The only thing I've ever made worse than Durian was when I tried to make Durian work as an accent in an energy drink flavour. I was going for something like Saint's Flow, an "Ass Tasting Energy Drink," and I wound up with "Vomit inducing nightmare fuel." It didn't taste bad, it's just that the smell of durian is too strong and foul to make the taste of it worth trying to use an actual durian flavouring in the juice.
My worst mix is anything with any kind of cherry in it. I've stopped trying to make a cherry mix.
I have tried more than 5 different companies mixes of cherry. I love cherries but can't stand to vape them. They are horrible. No matter what you mix with cherry it overpowers it and just tastes like cherries and shiat. If you want cherry flavored hell try the MtBaker Old Fashioned flavor ejuice. Dear God, I nearly threw away my kayfun when the vapor first hit my mouth. I washed it with soap and water for several minutes and rinsed it for about as long. I wiped it down and filled it up with some Vanilla Custard to try and cleanse my palate.
10% TFA Pineapple 6% TFA Passionfruit 4% TFA Maraschino Cherry.
I didn't even try to vape it, I soaked the wicks and fired it sans top cap. Burned the hairs out of my nose and made my eyes water.
WTB Good Cherry!
-
2-3% Black Cherry (TFA)
-
1% Sour (TFA)
Thank me later.
FlavourArt Black Cherry is good too.
5% watermelon (tfa) 5% mango (tfa) 5% kiwi (fa)
Idk what I was thinking. Made a 15ml of it too.. Tastes like waxy cough syrup. Letting it steep just in case it rounds out later. Sticking to my custards and creams for now.
Flavour art pineapple mixed at 5% tasted like you would expect sweat to taste like .. Let it steep for 3 months and built up the balls to try it again .. It smelt better but still tasted the samen if not worse
Would have been better at a lower percentage. FA I always start @ 1% and adjust from there. Rarely if ever go above 3% in a finished recipe.
Made like two mixes at the same time both with 10% TFA coconut extra, and some other stuff. I had no idea why they were so horrible.
That Coconut extra is a mofo.
When I was starting I thought EM was a sweetener and flavor rounder and Smooth (triacetin) was a magic bullet that balanced stuff by bringing out background notes. I did some versions of some pretty decent stuff I had made in my first go-around. After curingthey tasted like absolutely nothing; I mean dripping pure VG to wash out a wick was a better flavor experience. Turns out both of them have be used in tenths of percents and they can both mute over time. Oops.
I had an early banana bread that was something like 9% banana nut bread 3% ripe banana 1% EM 0.5% acetyl pyrazine. Not bad, but I thought it could be more banana-y and less nutty, so I inverted the ripe and bread percentages. I couldn't tell if isoamyl acetate just tastes like plastic in higher concentrations or if I had melted a pipette while mixing.
Recently I found out that 1% TFA tiramisu is actually quite interesting after curing and 3% is barbed throat brillo.
