A friend wants me to make him some regular vanilla ice cream. I've got TFA vanilla bean ice cream, should I just add that at 10 percent?
I was thinking like...
Vanilla bean 7% Bavarian cream 3%
Thoughts?
- TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 5%
- TFA Cheesecake 2%
- TFA Whipped Cream 1.5%
- TFA Bavarian Cream 2%
- TFA French Vanilla Deluxe 1%.
You can probably up the VBIC to 7%, but I haven't tried it that high.
The result is subtle, but very rich.
I've noticed that Sweet Cream has a weird taste to it and in just about any amount will add a weird plastic flavor to a mix, so I don't use it anymore. The original version of this that I made contained it, but it's much better without.
You could also add .25% coconut extra to add 'bite' or .5% marshmallow to add 'body'.
An older version of my Banana Milkshake recipe:
7% tfa Banana Cream 1% tfa Sweet Cream .5% tfa ethyl maltol, bavarian cream, french vanilla
This is an older version, I've since worked in menthol/koolada and am making a better base out of Cap banana/TFA banana cream and using different vanilla/cream notes. The version above is just the most successful mix so far.
