I'm trying to make a creamsicle, I was thinking like...
Orange 7% Vanilla swirl 7% Mint 1%
But knowing how oj tastes when you've got a minty fresh mouth so I'm kind of worried about that
Have you ever brushed your teeth right before drinking orange juice?
Ever had a mojito? Yeah, that's lime and mint. Citrus and mint can be delicious together. I've mixed a few orange and mint juices that have turned out pretty damn good, but some that tasted like wood furniture polish. Start with very small amounts of whatever mint you have and add more until you reach your preference.
There's no mint in a creamsicle so why add it? I honestly just don't see that turning out well but stranger things have happened in DiY (like my peppermint in peanut butter the other day).
There are a lot of orange creamsicle and dreamsicle recipes floating around here.
Thought it would help with the cold feeling
Sometimes a small touch of menthol, usually no more than .5%, can make fruits pop out a bit more.
But now I'm curious about this menthol peanut butter....
Lol posted in the Monthly thread for /u/kirkt
It's not perfect or anything but was a random thought and quite interesting. Very vapable just need to dial it in when I have some time.
- 8% Peanut Butter (TFA)
- 3% Vanilla Swirl (TFA)
- .5% Peppermint (TFA)
/u/kirkt suggested dropping the peppermint to just .1% or so, but I kinda like it how it is...More to play with still.
Yes, think Orange Tic Tacs.
Thanks for the reminder...I've been meaning to try this recipe.
Most flavor pairing charts I've seen say mint pairs well with citrus. Plus like /u/t33kay33 said, your listed ingredients are getting you very close to an orange Tic Tac.
Also, I like to use these pairing pages/sites for inspiration occasionally:
