My $100 Dollar Apple Pie clone.
submitted about 11 years ago by HumanFogMachin3

This is what ive come up with. first batch, but its tasting pretty good.

8% Apple Pie - TFA 1% tart granny smith - TFA 1% Deluxe Vanilla - TFA .5% Pie Crust -TFA .5% creamy caramel Loranns

Its really fantastic, very ethereal like the original (not over powering like gambit.) First attempt at apple pie, but it landed very close to $100 apple pie. The tart green apple really rounds out the apple pie, but it does smell like a green apple jolly ranchers, but tastes more like caramelized apple.

Granny smith really makes other apples sing in low percentages. Looks tasty!

Thanks man... Awesome but I have a question? I don't get the percentages... Like if I want to make 30ml how much of each would I put? Or can you just explain the percentages please? Lol thanks

its % of the total volume of the solution so 8% means that 8% of your 30ml bottle would be tfa apple pie, hope that helps.

Might want to do some reading before you get to into DIY, especially if your working with high concentration nicotine, understanding percentages of a mix is very important.

This is actually pretty damn close to the apple pie I have available ;)

I tried a recipe using regular TFA apple, and it was missing, and thought of using the tart granny smith. Thanks for the recipe. Can't wait to mix a batch up.

Man, this sub has had some really great clone recipes lately. Cheers man, can't wait to try it!

EDIT - I'm having trouble finding Deluxe Vanilla. I see it as French Vanilla Deluxe on TFA's site. So if another site has it listed as French Vanilla I'd assume its the same thing?

i believe it is french vanilla deluxe, i just abbreviated the name a bit.

Different product. French Vanilla Deluxe contains acetoin and acetyl propionyl, French Vanilla doesn't.

awe fuck me in the goat ass, wizard labs didn't list acetoin. ill have to find an alternative..

actually fuck it, its 1% of my mix which contains like .5% acetoin. not the worst, i definitely wouldn't make a straight custard flavor out of it.

TFA already has a replacement for your French Vanilla Deluxe with no Diketones -> French Vanilla Creme At 1% probably will not affect the flavor profile much than what you intended?

Alright, so I ended up making this today. Some notes:

  • I used all VG and a bit of saline.

  • Its a little sharp when fresh it seems. I bet if this steeped for a few days that would go away.

  • Its not going to make it long enough to steep. This is really damn good man. Great job.

When you called it "ethereal"? Spot on. Its 'light' but its not. Hard to explain. Thanks for the recipe, think I'll make a huge batch of this soon. Anything interesting you've noticed after steeping?

it smooths out, but it keep a bit of "crust" bite to it.

after a week, the caramel is starting to steep through just a little, and its so pleasant when it does make an appearance.

Its a great vape, flavor is always changing because its not to over bearing, allowing you to always have something new and stimulating.

Im super proud of this blend.

Next is going to be my BCC ill post it soon.

I can't attest to how close this is to the original because I'm not much a fan of it but the maker doesn't like tfa. The store he started at is up in ak and stated earlier he doesn't like tfa.

I've change the tart granny smith to just regular TFA apple, Granny smith had a herbal taste that i didn't like.

I've gotten rid of the caramel as well, it cause coil gunking
