The difference in flavor was not subtle.
The EM only had a hint of sweetness and cotton candy flavor, but a lot of body and a sort of thickness to it.
The TFA Cotton Candy was like the candy flavor in EM turned up to 11, noticeably more complex and tasted a lot like actual cotton candy.
The TFA Circus Cotton Candy was honestly awful. I'm not really sure how to describe it, plastic sweeten condensed milk? I tried Capella Vanilla Cupcake at 20% once before and it was a similar sort of awful.
Has anyone else tried these flavors by themselves? What did you think?
Does that mean cotton candy is not simply em diluted do you think? Or just that diluting it brings more flavor, less is more?
My guess is that they're not "the same" as I've seen postulated multiple times. It's possible TFA Cotton Candy has some EM in it, but I think the difference in flavor is too great for it to just be a different ratio of EM.
Edit: Well I guess I'm wrong. Still, I stand by my original impression that they're quite different flavors.
I think I agree on the Circus CC. I made one yesterday with 10% of that + 1% TFA Marshmallow. I assumed that overly buttery/dairy flavor came from the marshmallow since I have not tried that one solo, but what you describe is what I immediately thought was unusual about it.
I'm late to the comments but I just tried it today and wanted to see if anyone else got a terrible flavor -- slightly sweet burning plastic / tar
Glad to hear I'm not the only one -- was a little worried that they put something bad in the bottle by mistake...
What percentage did you use, and was it the only flavoring? crxess from ECF said it was likely a case of using too much flavoring and to try it again at 5% max. I haven't made another batch to try it lower than 10% yet though.
