Alright so I've been lurking on and off on here and commenting and what not. What I've noticed is a trend of using strawberry flavoring for almost EVERYTHING. Seriously looking at almost all the recipes, 90% of them all use some sort of strawberry as an accent flavor or a base.
It seems as though strawberry is an essential flavor to alot of juices right now. However besides cap stawberry, tfa ripe strawberry, and tfa stawberry. I haven't seen much outside of the box.
To me ripe strawberry is more of a base than anything, it's good but stand alone it's more bland than the cap strawberry. I haven't tried Lorann or flavor art yet. However they are going to be my next purchase though.
Anyone have any comments of other flavoring companies?
Cap Sweet Strawberry is the best Strawberry base hands down
TFA Strawberry Ripe is the best accent strawberry out there.
I've tried NF, FW and FA's as well and those are the two I prefer to use although in some recipes it's best to use a combination of strawberries to reach your desired flavor.
There aren't too many fruits that are used as a single standalone flavor from what I've seen. But you are definitely right, strawberry is used in quite a few mixes. I've been trying to limit my usage of it to try and develop other flavors more though. It just lends itself to adding such a sweet, fruity and mellow flavor to a mix that it funds itself in so many.
I've only used tfa's ripe so far, so I can't help with other vendors. Definitely looking towards FA or Inawera as my next target since I've exhausted pretty much everything I want from tfa. As much as I would want to try and spread my experience out, a strawberry from one or the other of them is likely to be in my first order.
Do you know where I can order inawera, fa, and lorann all in one place?
Ecigexpress has those three. Bull city doesn't carry Lorann's. But I do know each carries different specific flavors from each individual flavor vendor. One reason I've held off ordering Inawera and fa. I prefer having full access to the entire catalog, but a bit impatient to wait for transatlantic shipping, y'know?
Other than those "big 3", I have FA's, and just got in some from Flavors Express. FA's is good, but has some redundancy with TFA Ripe IMO. I haven't made a tester for the FE yet, but its smell is different than what I have already. It smells like those strawberry candies with the gel inside, wrapped to look like a strawberry. Good bit of perfume to it too, I'll have to see if that goes away or not.
FE sounds very promising. Are you talking about a strawberry bonbon?

I think I am allergic to strawberry (TFA) - I get a really tight chest when vaping mixtures that uses it... at least I believe that to be the culprit. I need to try just vaping a single strawberry liquid.
Does anyone happen to know if other strawberry liquids (TFA ripe strawberry, CAP, etc) might have the same effects on me?

Some are not straight-up strawberry. My favorite for mixing straight up is CAP. I use LorAnn's for undertones in more candy-like flavors (red gummy bear, things like that). Another delicious one is Strawberry Cough by Tasty Puff but I'd use that more in creamy mixes than a standalone.
Do you guys just selling the flavorings?

What business are you from? I would really love for a vendor, any vendor to have a section of flavors that are "known" good, without any of the bad chems in them. Looking through tpa, I saw a bunch of flavors that had no bad things in them, others with "custard notes". It would be great to go to a section of flavors that contained all the "known good, no risk" flavors in one spot so those of us that are minimizing our risks can shop easily.

As far as risk, what I can say is this: there have been no long term inhalation studies done on the vast majority of chemicals used in flavoring compounds and the only thing we know for sure is that all of them are food-safe. That being said, diacetyl is the big one that comes up because of its proven link to popcorn lung and I can say with confidence we don't carry anything that has diacetyl in it. The only way to prove everything as "safe" beyond a shadow of a doubt would be to do a long term inhalation study on each and every compound - literally thousands. This would be extremely costly and will most likely never happen, so all we can really go on for now is safety records of people who work where these chemicals are made who are exposed to inhaling them on a daily basis, and so far the only real red flag there has in fact been diacetyl.
Well, what tpa is doing is on the right track. Every liquid has a caption of whats in it, and specifies the ones with acetoin or the acytel problahblah. It also notes dikones on not. No other flavorists are doing that as far as I have been able to tell. She also links to all the spec sheets, so the cautious can dig deeper. The next step for her (or a reseller) would be to have two lists, one that definitely doesnt have diacytel, acetoion or acytel problahblah, and the other a list of ones that do contsins them, even if just "notes" of the chems. I would really like to go to a site and buy off one list without having to read the details. of course the disclaimer that we "dont relly know for sure and no longer term studies" applies, but dyvving out the list would still be helpful.
Stay away from TFA Strawberry (not ripe) for a standalone flavor. It tastes very "leafy". FA Strawberry on the other hand is very similar but without that leafy taste to it. Neither are good as a standalone though. I haven't tried TFA Strawberry Ripe or Capellas yet.
