difference between nicotines
submitted about 11 years ago by runfasterd00d

So I am just wondering, what's the difference between say nude nicotine's nic and wizard lab's nic? I am brand new to this and the nude nic is awesome from what I can gather and they also seem like great people(I mean how often does a vendor reply to reddit threads to answer questions?). I just wondered if there is a big difference between the nic from most of the well known vendors.

Like other posters, I do not care for WL nic - I find it harsh, peppery, and alkaline. NN is the best nicotine I've tried, and they include a CoA with every order. Their flavors are pretty good, too.

Nude Nicotine is great. I've been using it for a few weeks now. No taste interference at all. I've never used WL's but haven't heard anything good about it.

Got my order this week on your recommendation. Now im not saying i didnt believe you i just figured i have some hypersensitive taste buds so i figured it wouldnt be completely tasteless but you were absolutely correct. I have used a couple different nicotine mixtures from a couple different vendors, WL included, and while WL's isnt great it isnt the worst i have had.

Thanks again for that post a couple weeks ago, this is an excellent product.

It's all about the purity level. Nude Nic is typically more pure than Wizard Labs Nic, see there sample certificate here. 99.91% Pure.

Most of what I have seen from WL and other vendors is typically 99.85% pure. The .06% difference in Nude's Nic can make a dramatic difference to your pallette (no peppery flavor).

OK cool, yes I was tempted by the $50 sale at my freedom smokes but I think I'm gonna stick with nude.

I use my freedom smokes nicotine and it has no taste at all. My friends all love the juice I make with it. I like that they have theirs independently tested, and their nic is the same that's used by US pharmaceutical companies. I used vapertek once but it tasted like dead shrimp after a month of storage. Nude seems to be a quality nic also.

I've been using VapersTek nic for about 3-4 months. It is super clean and does not interfere with your flavors. So yeah, your nic selection is monumental in how well your mixes taste.

I too have heard good reports on NN. Personally I do not like WL nic. It wasn't a peppery taste that some speak of but more a dominate metallic taste that I didn't like. I've liked the MFS nic pretty well but nowhere as well as the VT nic.

This ECF thread is a few years old but describes differences.

In all honesty, proper storage of pure nicotine substrate at the manufacturer and vendor level seems to make all the difference :) Our business model is revolved around a product formulated AFTER you place your order, as well as direct contacts with nicotine manufacturers across the globe; no middlemen (direct transfer of pure nicotine from the manufacturer to our laboratory minimizes product exposure and shortens the chain-of-custody). We do not keep a large stock of 100mg/mL in a freezer to thaw upon ordering. Each bottle is formulated to order with exacting measurements of PG, VG, and PURE nicotine TO ORDER.

Jake speaking: By no means is this a rant against other nicotine suppliers, I just find that a nicotine base is best used and diluted FRESH. Most larger scale nicotine suppliers like ourselves - VT, WL, etc... move enough volume of nicotine base to not make product oxidation an issue.

Thanks for the shoutout /u/runfasterd00d! <3

I have used WL solely until Jake gave me a sample of his nicotine. I mixed it up and really enjoyed it. I still have 120ml of WL nic in my freezer but just ordered a 500ml bottle of NN. It costs a bit more but what doesn't if you want some of the best product you can get for your DIY. Just look at it this way how much would you spend on those nasty cancer sticks?? a hell of a lot more. $60 plus shipping for enough nicotine to last 1-2 years is will worth it in my book. When it comes to your ingredients in your e-juice don't go the cheap route. You will be really happy you bought some of the best. Good luck Mate!!
